why the lack of sentras in gt series

I cannot come to any reasonable conclusion why the beloved sentra has been left out of every GT game. Its such a popular car, on par with (and better than , in my opinion) civics, not to mention its huge fanbase and following. Anyone know anything about this that i dont?
 
We dont have Sentras in Australia. What are Sentras?
I wont a Ford Falcon and a Holden Commodore.
Why add another 4 cylinder FWD Japanese car when you could add some Aussie V8's with RWD.
 
Most likely for the same reason that Volkswagen GTI or R32 has been left out.

No real reason, other than PD didn't want or feel the need for it.

Sentra's are the base nissan car, similar to the civic. Base 1.6L engine... FF drivetrain.. yadda yadda. Nice car, and unfortunately left out of the game. Poo. And there is a ford falcon in GT3 man, the tickford falcon.

I want road versions I can buy from the Ford Dealer, not the race car version.
The Trickford car is too heavy to compete equally against other race cars in GT3. They needed to add a race Holden Commodore to race against the Trickford in GT3. Lets hope there is a race version Holden Commodore for it to race against in GT4.
 
I hope they will be in GT4, along with the GTI and R32 as Der Alta stated. All are excellent cars, and are renowned for their performance within their automotive niche. With GT4's massive car list, there is a possibility that these cars will be included.

And frankly, since GT4 will focus on the history of the automobile, the GTI and R32 are important cars, since they started the hot hatch. It would be heresey to claim to be focusing on the history of the automobile, while leaving out the 'Model Ts' of this popular market.
 
The Golf GTi has its importance in car history, but not the R32 imo.

About the Sentra, from a non-american point of view, there are dozens of other cars that should be in before the Sentra.
Maybe they are renowned cars in America (USA and Mexico, right?), but the rest of the world barely knows them at all I guess.

You forgot Canada (yes we make cars..)! :P I could go for an el camino in GT4, history-wise. First car of its class.
 
Hell, why not throw in a Ford Festiva??? Or a chevy lumina? If something like that actually showed up in the used car section, i would laugh for about 4 days and 3 minutes. Thats how funny it would be.

Is the Nissan Sentra the same car as the Nissan Pulsar which is sold in Austalia, Japan and Europe?
I looked on the Nissan US web site and it looked similar to the Pulsar we get in Australia, different front and back lights though.
 
I don't know if anyone else knows this, but the Nissan Sentra isn't just a base model compact car for Nissan. There's also the SE-R and SE-R Spec V models available with the 2.5 liter engine. 175 horses under the hood and 180 lb. ft. of torque, that ain't too shabby for a four cylinder w/o turbo-charging it (like the stupid SRT-4).

its definately something thats being missed in GT4, and even if we only got one model it would be in my Garage
 
Yeah I forgot to add that. Standard 6-speed on the Spec V and available Brembo brake package....I've been lookin at this car for too long. Plus, TeamRTR uses the SE-R in the SCCA Speed World Challenge races. GT is definately missing something here.

The first generation SE-R is a certifiably great car. The second generation SE-R is pretty good.

But for the price of a 170-maybe-HP third gen Spec V, I'd rather have a 230-real-HP 2.4 litre turbo Neon in my garage.

I mean, a beam axle in the back? C'mon! That's pretty low rent for a $19000 "sports sedan".

I know, but its still one of their "lowest" cars on the nissan totem pole, in retrospect. :) Thats what I meant by that.
 
more HP != faster car (!= means does not equal for you non-programmers out there)
the SRT-4 is a sweet car, great at the drag strips, but from what i've seen and heard, the SE-R is hands down a better road coarse car.

i like both cars about equally, but while GT4 has SRT-4s, it doesn't have SE-Rs (based upon currently availiable information, it may change)

this is what has me in a knot about it
 
a stock Semi has between 800 and 1500 HP, but how often do you see a stock semi pull the same times as an 800-1500 HP Viper?

Hahah good retort, but semi's usually have between 400-600 hp... but they have well over 1000 torque. :) Sorry to burst your bubble.
