This has to be the thing that bothers me above all others in this game.
What could have been the possible logic behind limiting car trades to only one car per day? I've tried to play devil's advocate, but I honestly can't think of a single good reason to have this restriction.
I have trades backed up for days and it gets involved trying to keep track of who gets what on which day. You shouldn't have to keep a spreadsheet for your GT5 trade activity!
I pray that they will remove this stupid limitation in an update.
Has anyone heard either:
1.) A reason why they did this?
2.) An announcement that this will be removed?

Do you mean that now we can no longer gift more than one car per day? Or am i not understanding you?

I can understand why they would limit to 1/day if im correct, that way they can limit the bday cheat.

But it doesn't limit it as you can receive more than 1/day.

I haven't been able to come up with a reason for the limit other than PD's seeming lack of caring.

It makes it more complicated then. You can create one fake PSN account and gift one car, then you have to create a new fake account to gift another car.If that's how it works, i will not bother with the bday cheat..Too much time to create an account just to be gifted a stupid nissan (Unless you are doing the 1944 Bday..). But then might as well just race the Nring in expert mode..it's fun, it's 60K and it bumps your XP.

I think they did it to stop people from trading. Since it's a gifting feature maybe they don't want people to use it for trading?

I don't think it has anything to do with the bday cheat.

Anyways, it's a bit annoying because I wanted to gift two cars to my friends but now I have to wait.

You just have to delete the save as that's what's tied to the limit, not the PSN ID itself.

This has nothing to do with that stupid birthday cheat.
I'm just talking about why if I send person X a car can I then not send person Y a car until the next day.
You can receive as many as you want, so why not send as many as you want?

The only reason I could think of for this would be to prevent from overloading their servers. If they limit trading to a maximum of 1 per account, per day, then they can more easily predict how much load they could have on a given day.

Some people already have lost their cars due to upload errors. I don't know how much actual data gets uploaded when you gift a car, but it's probably a decent amount.
