👍 Cool. But it's not only used as another term for 'women'.

"Slang A man regarded as weak, timid, or unmanly." :) And I know they don't all listen to Wumpscut because A) Hasn't been mentioned. B) If you listened to Wumpscut, chances are you wouldn't listen to 'Trance'. :) And yes, I'm not dissing your musical tastes. Just you.

Unmanly meaning... womanly???

Idiot. It's a derogatory term for women and it's crass. When you call a guy that, you call the guy a woman. I don't see how that's hard to understand.

If you listened to Wumpscut, chances are you wouldn't listen to 'Trance'

Care to explain why you think this is the case? Do you even have a reason for it or is it just convenient to say **** like this?

It's humorous when all these "elightened" people express their bigotry with musical taste, and consider themselves openminded.

Just saying you're gay, thats all. :) And yes, there is a reason. 70% of the people who listen to Wumpscut are A) Goths, B)Rivetheads. Both of which hate ravers to an extent. I doubt very many of them listen to Trance. I highly doubt it. So unless you're in the 30%, you won't listen to Trance if you're a Wumpscut fan. 👍 And yeah, it was pretty convenient. Just my opinion, though. Trance isn't great, I can make repeatitive beats with lots of bass and 'headache causing sounds'. i just kick the dishwasher and throw metal peices around. It sounds like Trance, only with more variety.

People don't categorize themselves like that outside of high school. You'll figure out that you can enjoy a variety of things when you grow up. Until then, you just go on categorizing yourself and everyone else into little cliques.

heh

If you like beer, you won't like wine because 62% of people who like wine are a) fags or b) pussies.

You're right. 👍 But go on any forum, talk to any of the types of people I mentioned, any age, and I can nearly garantee you they don't like Trance.

Lookit me, I love my trance.

100% of the 70% of people that make up my social group are as Xxift described, and no, they don't like ravers.

Save the planet, kill a raver.

Pah. What the **** do you know? You listen to Stereolab. You must be gay or something because they aren't American.

Douche.

Brilliant!

Just because people listen to trance means that they are ravers... and ravers deserve to die. And you refuse to associate with anyone who does not think exactly like you do.

Brilliant.

Why? Because in order to like trance you have to have a pacifier in your mouth? Because trance is "for pussies".

I still don't understand why you think that if someone likes your favorite band then they necessarily don't listen to a certain type of music. That is a narrow, artistically challenged point of view. Like I said, you have some growing up to do.

Most adults haven't ever heard of trance or techno, so your experiment is pointless.

That post was 50% right. I do refuse to hang out with people who think differently. I want like-minded people to hang around with. And yes, Ravers should die. But.. You listen to Trance.. which means you could possibly like the rave scene.. The problem should be elimated before it gets out of hand and you turn into an X munching idiot. :)

I listened to trance for 8 hours today while I was at work. Would it surprise you to find out that I also enjoy the music of slayer? Or that I've never been to a rave and never intend to?

People don't have to fit into your categories.

Thats great. 👍 I dont need to truely understand anything. I pay bills, go shopping, eat, and take ****s. Life is grand.

You said you've never been to a rave. Which still measn you could like it. Without trying, how to you know. But was you mentioning Slayer supposed to effect my views? Just an FYI, I dont like Slayer, either. :)

I don't even look at someone if they don't share the exact same views and principles as I do. It's the only way to go. Just think how great the world would be if everyone was placed into detailed, heavily segmented groups so we would know exactly what they believed in. I'd die for a world like that. I'd kill for a world like that.

Trance is for vaginas. Wumpscut is for real men!

Rudy Ratzinger is an out-of-the-closet gay, XzifT. I hope that doesn't sway your view of his music.

Just an FYI, I dont like Slayer, either.

Then you must be a ***** or a fag. People who don't like slayer also don't like wumpscut. So you must be lying and are actually a raver.

Oh, and I don't have to experience everything to know that I am not interested. Just like I don't have to put a bullet in my brain to know it's not a good idea. Many times, you can knock it before you've tried it. That's another high schooler line of reasoning that you'll eventually grow out of.

Lemme straight'n that out. I said GT3. I ment, "PS2" and of course and member like you that can call a post useless can obviously figure that out. Otherwise, your post was useless to even post.

You missed the point completely. Try again.

Isn't that kinda contradictory?. Why would he go to a rave if he doesn't want to go to one?? I love trance but that doesn't mean I'll go to a rave. It doesn't mean I'll take X, and it certainly doesn't mean I'll sit and watch while people are stoned off their knockers while they try feeling up on eachother.

...Actually wait, I wouldn't mind getting stoned at least once this lifetime but it won't be on X.

Wow, what an utterly silly "discussion". Full of bad language, too. I should recycle this whole waste of electrons.

Go for it. "Points" have been proved.

Look, just listen to what you want to listen to,because you want to listen to it.

It really should matter why.

I personally like trance cause it sounds good, and it puts me in a nice calm mood, and besides that it brings back memories of my raving days.

So I checked out wumpscut. The first song I heard was one called "hang him higher" which sounded like a cross between Marilyn Manson and Rammstein but with a little less edge. Nothing revolutionary, but not bad.

Next up was "pronography". Now that song was techno if I've ever heard it - except more repetetive. They had the same synthesizer loop all the way through the song with the occasional mixed audio clip thrown in for good techno measure. It was so repetetive I had to keep myself from switching it off (which is saying a lot because I listen to trance).

Finally came "frozen images". Also very techno, but more of a new agey relaxing no beat kind of techno. It wasn't bad but it almost put me to sleep.

All in all, I'd say if you like wumpscut, you'll probably like trance techno. There is a lot of similarity with style. If you like wumpscut but not trance, it's probably because you're in high school and are afraid of labels.
