Why Vipers?

Why is everyone so obsessed with the snake? The HSV will leave that for dead with less cylinders! (it is a V8)
Anyways I count about 3 Viper Threads in this forum alone, and most of the treads feature Vipers at some point in time.
Why is the Viper such a big thing???????

looks like where in the same bed here Jazza I totaly agree it has to be one of the ugliest cars I have seen ..and yes ive seen it in the flesh I think the only reason people like the viper is cos it has a big V10, well i got news for new somebody for got to add the other two cylinders
