Why when you win do they award you a worse car than what you won with?

For example on Lupo race etc. If you race with the top car which I like to do as I like my garage to be best not have second best cars in it then why award a worse car? Who would want that?

So, by that logic, if people go to race with their X2010's (and apparently lots of people just do exactly that once they've got it), they invariably get more X2010's every time they race? I would consider that a flaw.

I think the cars awarded should be nicely diversified as they are. The only "bug" is that they award the Midget twice.

Oh, and one more...I think the Level-tickets that are awarded for completing all Beginner-, Amateur-events, etc. should only award you cars you haven't already in your garage (at least, if you haven't got all of them yet).

Once you receive the same car twice in a row, you feel a bit mocked.

Like I said, I'd like to see a car that you win having a purpose. Like it can be used in an event. Perhaps the only car that can be used in that event and the car can't be bought anywhere?

Hardly much imagination required for that!

No crap. I just finished aspec professional. The last event was GT all stars. I won a carbon Amuse s2000, and the car ticket. Used the ticket and wont another carbon amuse s2000. I was pretty pissed off. I almost restored my save and tried it again, but Im sure I would have gotten another turd.

Perhaps it's because there is no other way people would buy those awful cars. Of the 1000 cars in this game, about 700 will never be purchased and driven unless it's out of necessity (e.g. event requirement).

That then begs the question... why waste the programmers' time including them in the game? There's other things that could've been awarded: paint chips, car parts, unlockables like new wheels, etc. And there so many actually desirable or at least interesting cars--it's not like people are saying you should win a TVR Speed 12 for winning the Clubman Cup. There's nothing wrong with awarding an Evo III or an R32 Skyline, Mustang Cobra R, Audi S3, S14 Silvia, Supra RZ, C5 Z06, etc.

I can only tell you guys over and over again: There is a guy at PD that is solely responsible for the prize cars etc - you can look up his name in the credits of the long end movie.

That stupid a** dude needs to be fired asap. Lupo 1,4 for winning the Lupo cup? Get that freak outta here... why not a Golf at least? Same with the Trucks - why not at least an SSR or a Viper or Corvette cause its from the same manufacturers as the trucks you race.

And its not like you only win ****** cars all the time, think of how early you win the Zonda R or the Furai. So maintaining balance is no excuse neither.

Another thing is how many of those prize cars cant even be sold so together with the insufficient credits you get for races, especially endurance, you have a hard time saving cash for really cool cars. I m level 35 + in both A/B-spec and I still need to get over 20 Mios to be able to buy the last 3 cars I really want to have: The Chapparals and the Audi R8 Le Mans.

GT5 has many inexcusable shortcomings and there are many people responsible for it but the whole credits/xp/prize car-system is the worst job I ever had to witness in all my life as a gamer of over 20 years. That guy did a worse job than a retarded monkey with a stamp would have done.

I always wonder why people do say "it's a game"? Yes it's a game. One that could and SHOULD be better. Simple. IT's the mentality these days, people just settle for second best.

I certainly expected a lot more from GT5... considering that i literally waited 3 years for this game..
1000 cars... right... why would u make a car, and put a (J) at the end of it and say that it's another car...
sure the graphics are pretty good... but the so called damages are pretty lame.... especially on standard cars... the headlights just curve in after a collision...
and why on earth would they make us suffer with A-spec endurance races...
I think GT5 is pretty much equivalent to Forza 3... and they've been a lot more productive in comparison...
I think that GT4 is a better game than GT5.... perhaps just my very own personal opinion

I share that opinion.

GT4 isn't as flashy, and the good stuff in GT4 isn't as good as the good stuff in GT5 -- but GT4 is a better game, like you said. It's better balanced, the progression of it makes more sense, the prize cars mostly fit into what you're trying to accomplish.

GT5 is incredible, but the lack of completeness is really hurting it. But I think that as long as PD sticks with it and keeps correcting flaws, it will evolve into the phenomenal game that it should be.

I guess we just have to be patient...

These guys missed a HUGE trick here.....half the fun of older GT games was WINNING THE DAM PRIZE CAR!!!!!!! Now i love racing..but crickey it would be nice to get a decent/rare car for winning hard races.

I am hugely dissapointed in this. (amongst other things....)

Quick word of advice to PD -

IF IT AINT BROKE - DON'T FRIKKEN 'FIX' IT!!!

Perhaps the game doesn't like you?

I win really cool cars all the time.

I wouldn't say that's always the case
Zonda R '09 is good and so is the veyron, 2million cr - for a prize car
Also endurance race cars are pretty good
XJ13 for indy 500 - 20 million
Ford GT40 - 20 million
Audi R8 LMS '09 - Beastly cool
Toyota GT1 for LM24h - good to trade.
Play more of the game

Because you used a better car than you are supose to use to win that race?

Clearly the worst is FGT Championship!
You need to buy a 5 million credits car, race for about 2:30 hours against other FGT's, and you win a Caterham Firblade!!!

It doesn't bother me that much.
But when there is a race restricted to a specific car and you WIN the SAME CAR, then it feels like they are just trolling...

Play more of the game? Well, I'm at 92% out of the 54 A-spec and 54 B-spec events, 108 events total (not including special events). There is a smattering of good and/or relevant cars, but out of 108 events, this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The cars you listed you mostly don't get until you're just about through the game entirely. At 92%, I haven't seen the XJ13, the GT40, or the R8 LMS yet -- half of the 6 cars you list.

Very few of the prize cars have been put to use in any other events, but I have used the Zonda and the Toyota 88C. With this many events, I'd really expect to be using at least 20 or 30 of the prize cars -- but it's not even close to that, it's more like 3.

It's not a harsh criticism, but I don't think this part of the game was particularly well thought out, that's all.

Can´t believe the whining and bitching that goes on in almost every thread.:indiff:

Really?? You can't?:grumpy: Have you played GT5? I dumped well over 100 hours into it and I can easily justify all my bitching and moaning. What makes it worse for me is being an FM3 owner too. I know how great online options can be, and how easy it can be to do the simplest thing like navigate a menu. But I digress FM3 and GT are different beasts entirely hooking me for different reasons as well.

On topic, just won my second Cizeta V16T, both prize cars, now it was 2 ZZII's I wouldn't complain.👍

I liked the concept of being awarded a random rally carry when you do the rallying special event and a random muscle car for doing the Jeff Banks Nascar even and wish there were more gift tickets like this, I know they do it with the Level 5, 9 gift tickets etc (but not as specific), but wish they had them on the events as well rather than a fixed vehicle after winning an event.
