Wierd Rally Replays

Ok, about 50% of the time when i watch my rally replays, they don't show what really happend in the race. I mean after a race in smockey montian where i just whooped my competor's ass with my skyline gtr, ill watch the replay. in the replay it shows me speeding ahead of the other car just as it happened. Then @ the 1st corner everything will change, ill show me spin out in the corner and do 50 donuts as the other car passes me. Ill show my car going back of forth on the first coner just doing donuts while the other car is like getting on its 3rd lap and im still on my first lap.

Has this happend to anyone else? If so why is it doing that. Or is the game just fricken retarted.:confused: :eek: :mad: :irked: :banghead:
 
I've heared of this phenomena,... but in the thousands of replays I've watched,... it's never happened to me.

I think it happens in replays that include a hybirded vehicle,.. but thats just a theory. Were you running a hybrid Belda?
 
its happened to me once before now. i wasnt on a rally course i was on r246 with my poly 001 i got to the long hairpin and the replay shows me hitting the outside wall and then driving into it for 5 laps until someone hit me!:lol: it is weird when it happens but it hasnt since and i didnt save the replay:banghead: :banghead: for some reason!?:confused: :odd:

and i wasnt driving a hybrid as i dont even have an x-port :P .......................yet!:rolleyes: :D
 
oh..I think ....I'm not sure...but this happens when you use cheat codes from the gameshark...my friend used the Max series points and 1 lap finish cheat codes and the replays were just screwed up...they showed things that didn't happen in the race...like once...the S2000LM was flying across the track...it just does weird things...but besides the gameshark...I don't know what else could of caused this...maybe something new...?
 
It happenz to me all the time, Im assuming that when you save a replay and then watch the replay its not really a video, its more of a reanactment of what you did in the race. Maybe it sometimes makes mistakes while "reenacting"
 
YEAH THIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST NIGHT while i was in my COBRA at SEATTLE..... i did the illest slide ever down the hill.. but when i watch replay all did was ram walls .. thats it just ram walls all the way thru the race... i never got more than 300ft from the start line...
 
It's obvious that GT3's replays just re-inact the race with a "macro" of the keys that you pressed while your race, and sometimes....SOMETIMEs....the PS2 will have a brain fart, and glitch a little....when this happens, your car lags for a little bit (even a milisecond can do it) but the PS2 keeps telling the car to turn left and right and accelerate at certain times.....this slight milisecond difference can send your car into a wall, and the PS2 will continue the script of buttons pressed....meaning your sitting there facing a wall and the computer just keeps on driving as if it were on track :lol:
