Just now, I was doing some hybriding and had just copied a savefile from the PS3 to my laptop. After some changes to the savefile, I copied the save to my PSP to copy it to the PS3.

While I was doing that, suddenly my ps3 bipped twice, and rebooted itself.
When it was on again, since I though it was just something random, I checked to see if everything was ok with my files. Out of all my saves of every game I own, for some reason only the GT5 folder was gone :nervous:.

If it wasn`t something PD or Sony made to stop hybriding, it was a hell of coincidence :scared:

Has this happened to someone else?

Loading, Ripping, Loading, Ripping...reloading, re-ripping, reloading, re-ripping....

No issues all day since I got home 3 hours prior to reset. Been at this since then. This account / ps3 that has a borrowed car or non, did act a little slow but it has been acting weird prior to that app coming out. Other PS3's are normal.

I had plenty of backups, so no damage done anyway!

This 👍

I don't know why people who hate hybrids think it's some great payback when you get a corrupt save lol. Especially when saves go bonkers plenty while doing nothing out of the ordinary.

Always have back ups, hybrid or not.

How do I make a backup file?:dunce:
The two bips happened to me aswell:scared:
Edit: my game did have a finger print on it, after I wiped it off no two bips!:sly:

For the gamesave simply copy it to a usb storage device (e.g usb stick). If you want to do a backup of the whole system, go to the system settings. It's obvious as soon as you see it. Your storage device, as example a usb-hdd, needs to be formated in FAT32 (otherwise the PS3 will do this for you, resulting in loss of all data on your backup device).

I do a full PS3 backup every month. Still funny that you were cheating and lost your save.
