Will history repeat itself?

With the 1.10 patch the "new" expert seasonal events were introduces. As I'm a GT5 player of the first minute these "new" seasonal remind me of the first seasonal events. They were as hard to win but offered lower rewards.
Then people started crying that they are to hard and offer to little rewards. So PD acted and increased the rewards (to a compareable lvl of the experts events). But people kept complaining that they are too hard and PD continued to bring out new seasonals, however they killed all the restrictions of the race, so no weight, power and tires restrictions but they kept the rewards. After some time PD realized that those rewards are to great for a 5-10 minutes effort so they introduced the seasonals as they were before patch 1.10.

In other threads and forums I've notices that people started to complain again that the experts events are to hard, so I kind of wonder if PD will do something about it (again) or just ignore the players which have to little skill/time/frustration level to gold them.

Personally I love the events and I always wished that PD would bring them back. But what do you think, will history repeat itself?

All PD had to do in the first place was make the restrictions optional.

Or make both types of seasonals.

I haven't golded the races yet. But why have a big payout challenge with no challenge? It's a great reality check for a medium skill player like myself.

The time trials are easy though. The drift challenge must be easy as well. I golded the second one and got silver on the first. That seems ok, except that I only drift in a boat floating on my favorite river.

I know that these are a 'reward' seasonal, after the PSN outage. But I hope the race ones stay this hard. The time trials and drifting could be a little harder though.

Personally (hopefully) I think they have sold enough copies and the non car fans have moved on to the next big thing leaving us die hards ready for some hardcore restrictions!!

or

as mentioned above have 2 versions a restricted mode with big rewards and a low restriction mode with a modest reward. Give us a choice and there will be less complaining than the "one race for all" scheme they are currently using

This. I've got gold in only one of them and it was hard. Even finishing 3rd gives pretty decent payouts. If you dont like it race the k cup which you can win everytime.

With a tiered payout depending on said restrictions. The more you think about it, the more logical it seems.

It's already like that to a degree. The more you tune your car, the less you're actually getting when you win.

I think that they have enough races to keep everyone happy now. Hard ones for those that want to be challenged, easy ones for those that want to get cash, and a few medium ones where you can try many different cars out to see how you'll do. If they can keep this balance, it would benefit all of us.

I agree with this,keep it up PD.👍:)

I honestly didn't find them that difficult. I think people only complain because they can't race without their racing tires. With a little practice and getting used to sport tires, it shouldn't be an issue. But people expect to huck their cars into corners, go all fast and furious around it, make it and win on the first try.
It was nice doing something that proposed a bit of a challenge and got a nice reward for it.
After golding that horrible Eiger Nordwand and dabbling in the Red Bull events, nothing is hard compared to those. Heck, even Eiger seems like a cake walk compared to the Red Bull events.
I hope history doesn't repeat itself and they don't change these events to cater to the casual gamer. Please leave something for us die-hards!
