Will I lose my game progress with new psn id?

Ok, so I want to change my gamer tag from GTP_racingfrk01 to GTP_racingfreak01

Reason is that my current GTP tag location is USA and I need a South African tag to enter the Mercedes SLS competition...but does that mean I'll have to redo all 60 licenses?

Depends on GT5 really... you will have to create a new PSN, then try and just transfer your save file to the new user. GT5p worked... but I doubt anyone knows is GT5 will work.
 
GT5P save files weren't locked, because it predated the introduction of trophies. I doubt you'll be able to transfer save files between accounts even on the same PS3 with GT5.

Oh, and there's only one "o" in lose. ;)
 
If it's a whole new PSN ID then you'll lose the progress. If you simply rename your existing PSN ID (I don't know if you can actually do that!) then you should be able to keep everything.
 
You can't transfer the save as it's locked, but you can gift your cars from your old account to the new one. Just set your accounts up as friends and gift the cars via the community screens.
