Is it worth the money???

Thats a question you have to answer for yourself. If you can afford a wheel, and you're passionate about driving games/Gran Turismo, then yes - its most defenatly worth it.

One thing to consider though. You would need a place to sit with the wheel mounted properly. I used an ironing board in GT5Prologue, but bought a Wheelstand Pro just before the release of GT5 for my DFGT. Overall I'm very satisfied.

About the clutch and H-gearing; I'm sure this is very fun to use, but frankly I don't really miss it. Real racing cars would have hydraulic gearing more similar to the "up and down" knob on the DFGT.

^^^^^ he is right. you may not need anything fancy but you do need something to attach it to. BTW there is a noticeable difference in wheels and manafacurers. if i were you i would start with a DFP and work up. its the easiest way to learn

Agreed. Wheel vs. Controller is like right hand vs. women. You get the same result, but its a totally different experience.

The dfp is a great choice. Had one for years and I really liked it. After it finally broke down I got the fanatec gt3 RS, and boy, that is an awesome wheel. Especially the pedals, nobody ever talks about pedals. I think they are as important if not even more important than the wheel itself.

Anyway, as I allways say, with a controller its a game, with a wheel its a sim. If you want a somewhat close to reality driving feel, you will not get it with a controller.

Driving with a wheel may be a little difficult at first, but it is soooo much more rewarding in the end.

Boom. That's the ticket.

I love using the wheel. Headset + force feedback = I'm in the damn car.

I've played GT since the very first game, but GT5 is the first game that I have used a wheel.

I can tell you straight that it is a completely different game when you are using a wheel. I have tried to go back to a pad, but I find them very limiting now - get a wheel and set yourself free! 👍
