I thought of that too Skuh but when you see the lap times for the grooved sports tires vs RH you will laugh. One would expect the groved sports tires to work better in the wet than the full slick racing tire. But the cars on the RH in the wet are way faster than when they have sports tires on in the wet. This is why I consider it a glitch. The X1 on those sports tires in the wet took almost 13 minutes to navigate the Ring. It was almost overtaken by the AI cars that were on RH's. If it was for the ridiculous performance of the X1 in the back straight Bob would have lost this race.
MoLiEGI don't play online at all... hate the completely different physics and how almost nobody likes to use normal cars with race tires (I place race tires on all my cars)
iainoflo85These and other bugs are pretty common, and some are more annoying than others. For example (don't know if this is a bug, but it's rather annoying anyway when it happens all the effing time) in Cote d'Azure the AI have a tendency to hit walls and block the way if I'm in A-Spec, or my Bob does it a lot in B-Spec and the other cars still do it as well - I know the reason for it, but there's still nothing I can do to stop him and in A-Spec the only thing I can do is look out for it and try and avoid it or capitalise on it to gain some positions. Like I said I don't know if this is a bug, but it's incredibly annoying and ruins the game for me sometimes.
I don't know what to say other than enjoy what it is, or move on.
I absolutely love the apologists answers to problems and flaws in the game. Either enjoy the flaw (How do you do that exactly?) or sweep it under the carpet and forget about it. Brilliant.
That's you, the OP clearly still likes to race this series. You telling him to just deal with the fact it's broken or do something else is a terrible response.
I ignore people like mr. pontiac. BTW I don't play GT5 anymore I just keep up to date whenever an update is available. But I always check after its updated to see if they fixed DCC and any of the other glaring problems before I put it back up...Just too many things wrong for me to enjoy the game anymore...Its run its course for me. If others still like it that's fine with me.
When someone like me who comes into a thread and either defends GT5 or as in my case, doesn't care, that is usually the reaction.
Blah blah sales numbers prove faults don't exist blah blah quality by popular vote blah blah.
Oh please. You're not fooling anyone with your reasoning for posting in this thread anymore than the handful of other threads you still come on GTP to post in when something rustles your jimmies, so don't bother with acting as if your reasoning to tell people who are bothered by a problem with the game to deal with it is because you "don't care."
No where did I state that sales numbers prove faults don't exist. That is an assumption on your part.
Yeah, I'm pretty curious about that actually. I never did get an answer last time you started these assertions about how much sales mean and I held your feet to the fire over it. Or the time before that, when Scaff did the same thing in that thread you made just to show how dedicated you were to fighting the good fight while simultaneously admonishing those who kept posting the opposing viewpoint.Where I stand on issues with GT5 should be known by someone like you who constantly takes the time to reply to me. In fact, we have had a few small discussions like this that go nowhere.
My initial post in this thread asked the question on what is wrong with the DCC? Probably didn't catch that, did you?
Toronado -
I have never used numbers as an excuse for faults. In fact, I use them to prove my point which has always been that what the few members here on this site feel, it does not impact how well GT5 sells.
Thats great, good for you. It doesn't mean you need to stop telling people to discuss the fauts though, just ignore them if they don't bother you. Don't tell people to basically put up or shut up because you don't care and it doesn't affect sales. That isn't a legitimate reason not to talk about issues.Perhaps stating that I don't care was a mistake on my part, but the truth remains that all the things found wrong with GT5 don't stop me from playing and enjoying this game.
Oh look what you made me do!![]()
