What? Is this true?
IMO the boost was very light, making olny a diference of 20K in the Indy :/
I seem to remember that the credits you win were bumped up big time around Christmas but it was for a limited period. I for one have got used to these higher prizes and grinding for money still seems to take forever, so I am hoping they don't put them down again![]()
Yeah when 1.05 came out it said they've been temporarily increased until the end of January.
Think the daily login bonus should just be 1M credits then I wont have to grind and can have fun tuning and time trialing myself instead of grinding mediocre races over and OVER AND OVER again.

Why not just have it give you a car every time you log in?![]()
Sounds good to me. It wouldn't stop me from racing anyway, but I'd be turning my PS3 on and off a hell of a lot more. Why not just have it give you a car every time you log in?![]()
I made two million Credits today, in a matter of minutes. Had to do eight laps around the Nurbürgring GP/D track, you know.
As long as the seasonal events are updated on a weekly basis, I don't think it's that big of a deal.
What about those that dont have internet access or those that dont have all day to devote to a game? I would like the prizes to stay the way they are or even increase a bit since not all of us can play for 5-15 hours a day. A huge lot of us have families, jobs etc with little spare time to play hence I'm mainly a B-Spec guy as I can leave the PS on while I go to work etc.
Yeah its got the GT Life mode but that dont mean it should replace my real life. The grinding thing just wastes so much of your time that I can see only kids, students or folks without a job[got a few friends in this situation sadly] being able to devote a huge chunk of their lives to reach the levels that PD apparently don't want you to reach unless you waste your life away trying to get this and that. As much as I love the GT series at the end of the day its still just a game to me.
Offering credits and xp for the A-Spec One-Make races in Practice mode would be the perfect solution, imo. Those races are more fun than any regular A-Spec event.
If you don't habe an internet connection, it won't matter as you won't have 1.05 and therefore, your price money would never habe been increased. What about those that dont have internet access or those that dont have all day to devote to a game?
I'm spending 50+ hours per week at work and I've got a healthy love life as well, yet, it's still pretty darn easyy to get by in GT5. The grinding for levels sucks big time, yeah, that's true. I've said that myself quite a few times. The credit grind isn't anywhere near as bad, unless you want everything at once.I would like the prizes to stay the way they are or even increase a bit since not all of us can play for 5-15 hours a day. Can you get anymore melodramatic? Seriously... You can play GT5 for an hour a day, even half an hour and still progress through the game.Yeah its got the GT Life mode but that dont mean it should replace my real life. The event creator that has been mentioned several times by now would be great. Pick a track, your car and the AI's cars and be done with it.Actually the most fun to be had is in Single Player Arcade Mode, set Professional difficulty, and pick a car or favorite. The AI will try to select comparable power, race class, cars to fill the grid. Still too easy though, but 16-car premium rally racing is fun. Too bad GT mode don't even come close to Arcade mode in mimicking this auto-race generation feature.
I'd like to know what people even need all that money for.Makes me wonder how some people survived back in the days of GT1 and GT3.![]()
The game should be fun regardless of age. Maturity has nothing to do with liking unlocks or not. Besides, I'm sure to an adult, being "awarded" a few lines of code is less magical that it is for a six year old.I kinda expect an adult to be able to deal with that.
You don't have to understand. I myself don't understand people who like A-Spec, grinding, and unlocking. But whatever, that's just not for me, so I leave them be. Starting with everything available just makes more sense. It's baffling why it isn't done.See, it took me quite a while to reach lvl28 (where I'm at, currently) in A-Spec. I just don't spend much time with GT5. And still, I can do quite a lot of fun stuff.
Then again, I don't understand people that make it sound like you'd need every car and every tuning part at your disposal...

What good is having a bazillion cars if you can't drive half of them properly, due to the lack of experience and training?
Having an urge to have everything this instant is also something that's usually attributed to kids, as these generally lack patience, moreso than adults. Why would that make more sense? For a game, it's a pretty usual thing to not enable the player to have everything at the beginning. It might be what a pure simulator would do, but GT5 is a game, first and foremost. You don't have to understand. I myself don't understand people who like A-Spec, grinding, and unlocking. Try driving a car that you haven't driven as hard and as close to the limit as one you know perfectly well and I guess you'll understand. Why would these players lack experience and training? And how would having a bazillion cars prevent them from getting these things?
It's not impatience. There is no reason to have everything hidden away. I'm sure that most people here feel that driving and racing are thrilling. All credits do is create an artificial barrier between the player and driving. Combine a huge list of locked items, with a slow unlocking process, and limited play time (player has a job, etc) and you've got a disaster.Having an urge to have everything this instant is also something that's usually attributed to kids, as these generally lack patience, moreso than adults. Usual doesn't mean right first of all, but you are correct, it's not unusual for a game. However, GT does call itself a simulator. But the biggest issue is that the game can satisfy everyone at the same time, but PD [and most other developers] choose not to do this. It would be great if the current usual way of doing things was dropped all at once for a better way.Why would that make more sense? I am worried they will eventually run out of ideas and stop the Seasonal Events.
Actually, you can unlock a huge load of stuff in GT5 in quite a little amount of time. The things that are really costly to get are few and far between. The LMPs are expensive, as are a few classics. Car that require you to be be at lvl 25 or higher are very rare, as well. It's not impatience. There is no reason to have everything hidden away. Better to whom? I find this to be quite a debatable thing. Games have become so easy lately, that I think it'd be a shame if the last few games that don't shove everything up the players behind started to do just thatUsual doesn't mean right first of all, but you are correct, it's not unusual for a game. Depends on what you consider to be competitive, I guess. I know that it takes me quite a few hours before I can finalize a cars setup and can start to push it to its limits. In GT, that is fairly easy. In fact, prior to GT5's release, I had only driven a few GT5 cars in demos. 200+ cars later, I feel comfortable in just about all of them. I've won races involving cars with as little as 150 hp to as much as 1500 hp online. I'd probably need to have everything unlocked just to find a car that I would be completely uncompetitive with.
So, you're saying that you can drive a car that you barely know just as close to the limit as one that you've got a crap load of experience with? You might want to get into real racing then, looks like you've got a lot of potential. In real life, I've not had trouble getting up to pace on an autocross track with a car I've never driven before, but I've not had access to 200 different real-life cars. And of course, by "up to pace" I don't mean that I could run neck and neck with F1 drivers in the same car, but I'm sure I could compete with drivers in a skill range similar to my own without running off the track at every turn.
Which I never said. All I'm saying is that:And I forgot to mention, a large number of GT players would already have experience from past games, especially GT5P, and perhaps real life racing. There is not basis to say that unlocking is necessary to build up the skill required to drive certain cars.
How long does it take you to get a fistful of Super GT cars? With the seasonal events, maybe one weekend? Honestly, that's five, maybe ten hours of gameplay if you're just blasting through the seasonals and the licenses. And you'll end up with enough credits to buy yourself, like, at the very least three or fours GT500 cars, even if you spend quite some money on other stuff. Unless you feel the need to get every different livery for every car, it's absolutely no big deal to get that stuff. And even if a lot of practice time was required, all unlocking does it limit what you can practice with. What good is it to drive in a FF sedan over and over if one's goal in GT5 is to race Super GT style?
I think 2 million credits in 11 and a half minutes trumps 1 million credits in 40 minutes, nine hours, 24 hours or whatever you spend exploiting the game by "grinding' while you're at work.
In GT1 it took about 1h 45min to make 1.000.000Cr.
In GT2 it took about 10min to make 1.000.000Cr. OK, GT2 was a bit of a special anyway.
In GT3 it took about 1h to make 1.000.000Cr if you had some luck.
In GT4 it took about 40min to make 1.000.000Cr in A-Spec.
In GT5 it takes about 45min to make 1.000.000Cr in A-Spec with the current prizes, about 1h 10min with the original ones. Seasonal Events not even included in the calculation but that would indeed take the time down to around 5min per a million credits at its peak.
Makes me wonder how some people survived back in the days of GT1 and GT3.![]()
Grinding is compulsory in the game to level up at higher levels and also somewhat for cash to buy cars. Good luck completing the game without "exploiting" it as currently it is impossible to do so. Maybe you should ask PD to change the game so it does not require "exploiting" with the use of grinding, as currently it is part of the game design.
And you need to have every car in the game because...?The answer to your question is very easy, there was a lot less cars 💡.
👍 I spend most of my time just hotlapping on the 'Ring. As I said, I don't understand the need to have everything at once, especially if you don't have the time to enjoy all of it, anyways.Infact someone on this forum gave me the idea to run an FGT 200 lapper at Indy in practice mode -> one make. No money. No Experience. Over two hours of fun for no progress in the game whatsoeve.
