Will there be hillclimbs in GT6? (Read OP)

I would like hill climb cars in the game especially the late great George Plasas Judd V8 BMW's and Nic Manns cars - the 620bhp Rover V8 turbo Morris Minor and his current one "the Manic Beattie" - a custom built 4wd front engine single seater powered by a four cylinder which has a turbo spun by a helicopter starter turbine to give a constant 45psi of boost at all engine speeds.

There are several problems with hillclimb tracks - they don't lend themselves to having more than one car on track at a time - the solution to this would be to have time trial contests which are open to people on your friends list.

Another problem is how short the events are, in the UK most are less than a minute long and some are less than 30 seconds in length - the solution would obviously be to combine a series of iconic tracks into one long track.

You could hillclimb online too. You can qualify and then the grid lines up and is launched at fixed intervals. If you gave the host the option of ghosting cars and reducing or eliminating smoke/dust/dirt effects that would be great.

I raced a few days back in a lobby where all cars were ghosts during the whole race...
So it's already possible, but the problem now is that there is no nice track to do those hillclimbs.

Pretty sure, just because its a normal race track, doesnt mean it cant be used for hill climbs... For example, our local holding a Hillclimb Nationals event...

That's a fun looking track, what track is that?
The video title doesn't say it, no never.
Or you could simply look from where he is, should be clear then even without watching it.

Maybe avoiding a triple post would be helpful either.

Anyway, using a race track for hillclimb is boring.

Mt Aso point to point should work in course maker for some kind of hill climb course. I see no obvious reason why they couldn't have implemented that in GT5 (point to point). I hope they do point to point in GT6. That would be awesome IMO.

They had point-to-point courses in GT5, but only for the rally Special Events. So there's no excuses for GT6.

Pikes Peak is not the hillclimb I mean, but it would be nice to have it in the game!
The hillclimbs I mean are the ones showed in the video in the OP. :)

Oh, you're talking about tarmac courses. Sure, I would welcome those. I still prefer the dirt courses though. XD

I sure hope so.

P2P course maker was one of my favorite features leading up to GT5's release, so I was pissed when it was suddenly gone.

I was disappointed to know P2P was taken out for whatever reason. I hope it will be in GT6, but it seems likely it'll be though. ;)

Sort of off topic LOL but I really hope the Escudo is Premium in GT6, that'll make rally races more fun in cockpit view!

I'm near 100% sure we will se Pikes Peak in GT6, all rumors+ the Red Bull article hint at this.

Anyone remember that test on GT2 with the Toyota (spider) GT-One '98 and the TVR Griffit, and you had to do a hillclimb after a curve?

I want that part in a new track :(

Wasn't that basically meant to be Eau Rouge? We have Spa now :dopey:

Course creator point-to-point on hilly terrain with a sensible, but fun, pathing algorithm would do it for me.
