Will we ever have the missing GT racetracks ?

I was just on GT wiki looking at high speed ring track layout and the old tracks caught my eye and I remembered how much fun they were I really do wish they give us a track pack DLC before they completely finish with GT 5 and turn there attentions fully on GT 6 because I would love to race on complex string, midfield raceway and apricot hill again and hopefully fingers crossed we will :)
 
Are you saying you want the older tracks as DLC? If so, there's a wishlist thread already.
 
All I want is Seattle and Hong Kong. I loved those tracks
 
I miss Tahiti, New York, and Seoul :/
 
Apricot Hill and Midfield Raceway were two of my favorite tracks in GT4, along with El Capitan, and even though at the time I hated it, I miss Hong Kong as well.
 
No, not in GT5.

In all honesty those two tracks should have been in GT5 from the get go. The layouts for those tracks were amazing. I would trade cape ring for either of those tracks in a second.

El Capitan, Midfield and Apricot Hill.
 
Maybe GT6 will have our favorite tracks back, I'm sure of it. Since we've seen one of the classic ones like Seattle Circuit from the NSX Concept trailer, there could be great hope that the other tracks will come back. Even Pikes Peaks if possible. :)
 
Tahiti Road and Midfield Raceway were my two favorites. Grindlewald was fun too.
 
How are we expected to know? your guess is as good as ours.

More to the point this topic has been covered to death - general consensus is that we won't see them in GT5.

Seattle was always a fun challenge! Hong Kong was mostly a challenge.

👍 Apricot was the approximation of Tskuba. (sp?) Once PD secured the rights, Apricot was dumped, (Perhaps as a condition of the agreement?) and Tskuba spread every series like the chickenpox! (Not that it's a bad track)

Midfield was HELLA fun! It took me months to get El Cap, then I was untouchable on it! :sly:
 
Apricot is nothing like Tsukuba. Plus they were both in GT4 and GT:PSP.
 
I enjoyed Red Rock Valley from GT2 also.

Well, that was the rumor on the boards here at the time, seemed to make sense. I don't remember if it was in GT4, but I'll take your word for it.
 
Yay another thread about the missing original circuits! Let's all fantasize! Me first... the one I miss most is Red Rock Valley, then Seattle, Midfield, El Capitan, Apricot Hill and New York. Never cared much for Hong Kong or Complex String.

To answer the OP's question: probably not in GT5.
 
I really really hope so! So much more important then car's for replay-ability and to give a substantially less repetitive A-SPEC is the abundance of tracks! Of course I know AI is most important. Then tracks, then events and cars are a tie for me as third most important aspect!

But in some ways it's good that GT5 never got these tracks and GT6 (hopefully) gets them! We will never associate our childhood memories of playing Midfield and Seattle with the negativity that came with GT5! Harsh? maybe, but valid!

Oh and to answer the OP's question, Not for GT5 I don't think!
 
2 1/2 years down the pike, let's face it. If PD were going to give us all the old tracks, they would have done it by now.

Word is, we'll get maybe a couple in GT6, along with a few more real tracks. But ALL of them? Pas de chance!

Let's also ask ourselves... PD's track modeling time is finite. Do we want old tracks, or do we want NEW tracks? Can't have much of BOTH.

Personally, I'd prefer more real tracks. Looks like this is what PD think, too.
 
I have not purchased any DLC for GT5 nor do I intend to. However, if PD released all the legacy tracks as DLC I would probably buy it. I suspect there are many others in this camp as well. If so PD is missing out on a money making opportunity.

You are right, but Apricot Hill has some real life circuit influence, mainly from Suzuka (esses). ;)
