Will You Be Putting GT5 To Rest For PCars

Does anyone have any idea what the differences beetween PC and PS3 version will be like ?
the reason i ask is that i dont have a decent PC to play these amazing sims on :(

besides the graphic, will like the physics be worse ect?

The physics will be identical between the platforms. The developers have said that this is a point they will not compromise on.

If it guarantees LEADERBOARDS :sly: along with great physics and track selection I won't hesitate, from what I have seen it looks very promising :D

Hopefully they can also figure out a great penalty system

It already has leaderboards in the alpha. Also time trials. I can't see any reason for either of those being removed for the final game.

I play a lot of racing sims including pCARS, so I spend a lot less time on GT5 than I did but I do still play it occasionally (after playing it into the ground in the first year of it being released). Why? Because I'm a Japanese car guy and no other sim has or will ever have the selection GT5 has in that respect. GT5 is the only thing I play much of on my PS3 now, and as much as I prefer PC sim physics I would still buy a PS4 for the next GT game.

I seem to remember GT5p having leaderboards for most cars, if not all of them and we all know what happened there :banghead: :sly:

That's PD though :ouch:

I am not going to get my hopes to high with this though..... You only have to look at GT to see why I won't go down that road again

As I said though, this looks very promising :)

I already did put it down for good since I ve been involved in pCARS. Tried to go back to GT5 for the new academy and... it just didnt feel right. So much loading for so little driving with such a sterile feeling to it. Just doesnt make my James May-thing fizz anymore like it used to in late 2010/early 2011.

What many people dont seem to get is that you dont need a mighty thunderous PC to get the best of pCARS right now - you can discuss with the devs directly, give your opinion on everything you want, can participate in contests and polls... So you can make sure its the sim of your dreams without playing a single second before release day. And you ll get a discount off the retail price in the amount of what you invest now. AND you get profit shares. Win-win-win-win-win-win-win... :D

I hope you dont put GT5 and pCars together just because they look very good? A race sim dont end in the graphics.

Nobody said it does, & pCARS already has cars that have better physics and handling than GT5

Only thing I care about in PCars is steering input on PS3..... If its like it was with NFS Shift and not Shift 2 I'll be happy. But im going to wait. I dont play GT5 much now.

From what I've read on the P-C.A.R.S thread the input lag issues are pretty much gone.

IIRC, on the WMD forums, it was mentioned that this game was going to run at the DX9 equivalent of the game on consoles. (For those unaware, the alpha comes with two versions, DX9 and DX11) If this is the case, and none or very little of the graphical quality is lost, then this will be a fantastic looking game on consoles.

But on PC
