williams f1 steering wheel on ps3

hi, I bought a williams f1 steering wheel for gt4 on my ps3. I connected it using the usb + ps2 slot (using ps2 to usb ps3 control converter), but no matter what it will not recignize it in gt4 or other ps2 games.

Is there some kind of setting that I need to do or simply wont work for ps3.
 
That wheel is not compatible with PS3 games, it was made for ps1, and ps2 games.
 
Yes, but that wheel is not supported by GT4. Better yet let me clarify and say that not all PS1, PS2 games support that wheel because that wheel is a vibration wheel and not a true force feedback wheel.
 
Your problem is probably the adapter, to my knowledge, since the wheel is already pretty iffy, the adapter doesn't help at all.

If you still have a PS2 laying around, use it and it should work, but if not, I can't help you any more unless you want to buy a DFP.
