Out of all of Americas great racing circuits, why oh why did they choose this turd?! It's like something a few hill billies have made after drinking moonshine. No scenery, no kerbs, no distance markers, no barriers, no anything!! Makes placing the car on the track rather tricky, especialy at night! It has the worst corners in history and no flow what so ever. I hope after doing the career mode i never ever come across this waste of pixels ever again!!! Anyone else not a fan of it or perhaps you totaly disagree and love it. Either way, it will be interesting to read peoples views on this new addition.
I am not a big fan of Willow Springs either but I would pick it over Laguna Seca. That place has to be the most overrated circuit I know - Only the Corkscrew is interesting and the rest is virtually unimaginative 90º turns.
Willow Springs is tough to get right and is challenging but I'll never feel about it the way I do about Silverstone let alone Spa-Francorchamps.
Willow is a great course, if u have ever been to the 'high-desert' u knw how rugged it is, it snows out there! So it dsnt surprise me when ppl complain about Willow, just like real life! Stay in shelter !
Big Willow doesn't do much for me unless it's driven with a high powered muscle car, but Streets of Willow is fun for testing street cars with PP anywhere between 400-600. It's good and technical and for some reason I like the dawn/dusk times at that track. Broad daylight with no weather effects is kind of dull, but driving there at night is virtually pitch black except for the cones and an occasional glimpse of curbing.
I like the speed on the turns, it's a real fast track. If you're not careful though, it'll throw you into the desert just as harshly as the weather there in summer. Super unforgiving >~<
The layout looks like a 5 year old that tried to draw a whale or something.. It's boring, it has some challenge to it, but the frustrating kind.... It has no "soul", if you know what I mean.. I don't really get why it's in GT6, it's a uninspired piece of tarmac in the middle of nowhere, with no significance what so ever or added value to the game. As mentioned, it's a waste of pixels and hdd space... There are other tracks in the US that are more 'worthy' of being in GT6.
Are there better tracks? Yes.
But as long as new tracks are added to the GT catalogue and are not simple ovals or super short circuits, I can deal with that. In fact, I rather like it, don't ask me why.
I just hope that more USA tracks are added. Basically, we have 4 scenarios (Laguna Seca, WS, Daytona, Indy)
Maaan, why not bring Infineon back? That track was awesome.

If I made a list of my top ten American circuits, Willow Springs would not be on it that's for sure. It is a bizarre choice for the "next" North American track.
its an alright track they could of picked better like Watkins Glen Road America Road Atlanta Lime Rock Sebring just to name a few Willow Springs is a bitch at night with almost no vision its not a bad track at daylight but Polyphony Digital could of chosen a better track though

True, but it's like that in real life, so it's good PD keeps tracks like they really are instead of adding all kinds of crap that isn't there like some other games do.
The answer is I googled "Willow Springs history" and had a link to this page come up. I've come to love Big Willow so much that I just had to come in here and defend it and what do you know? Thread revived!

You must of loved the S license in the Alfa, Willow springs is mainly just fast sweepers with the exception of the tighter corners at the highest part of the circuit
Lets stop playing around lol, we all know the one American track we would want in this game is Circuit of Americas. Who wouldnt trade Daytona, Indy, Laguna & Willow for Circuit of Americas? Who wouldnt?....Who!?
