WinAMP 3 Final!!Music 

I'm using it, and I can't make up my mind. On the one hand, I like the crossfading.

On the other, where the hell have the shell extensions gone? I loved being able to right-click a folder and choose "Play in WinAmp". That's really annoying.

In fact, it's so annoying I'm thinking about downgrading.

Yeah, they've owned it for about 3 or 4 years.

Personally I think it's pretty cool. Valient first release. We'll see some nice improvements to it in the next year ... just look at Winamp 1 and 2, it came a LOOOOONG way. Did anyone use it when it was pre 1.0 ? SUCKED BIG TIME. The last 2.x release was amazing though.

I got it, it sucks. Sound was horific. Every song was crackly and everything to fix it failed. The new playlist window isn't skinable so it's out of place when I have it with the rest. The display options seemed to be missing.

So, I deleted 3 and stayed with 2.8, which works perfectly.

For my video stuff I use windows media player.

WA 3 sucks...
 
I'm loving winamp 3! The loaded playlists window rules, it's fast and the sound is excellent, especially when you back it up with Dee2. :)

well it didn't work for me. I left it on the default sound settings and it was crappy to begin with, where as 2.80 I can change the equilizer and it still sounds great.

It didn't work for me...
 
Have you checked the winamp.com forums? There are some pretty ****ing sweet skins in progress. Of course, very few of them will be released.
 
I agree. I used 3.00 for about a week and didn't like it. Loaded slow 4 me too. Sticking to 2.80 I guess until 3.00 is upgraded more :odd:
