Window won't close and freezes up my laptop

I know I am the helpless moron around here and I need help again. I tried to open something from my Downloads folder, the folder opened but the thing I wanted to open did not. Now whenever I click on the folder on my bottom bar, it shows the Downloads window but I can't do anything except shut off my computer and try again. How do I get rid of this window?

I'll try, hopefully it won't freeze up

EDIT: Got a pic of the folder open, but whenever I go to the X, everything starts slowing down and I have to reboot

Interesting; have you ran a virus scan on that folder?

Download, install, and run a Windows crash report viewer. Get it to crash and Google whatever error the crash report gives you for a solution.

Also, don't leave that screen shot up for very long lol.

I'll try that

Like the resolution troubles I was having earlier, I rebooted again and it went away. From now on I will just reboot twice and then post here :lol:
