Windows BSODs, maybe CPU?

Guys I’m going crazy here. I built this computer in August and it’s been running okish ever since then but a few times I have gotten stuck in BSOD loops. Most of these suggest either a memory or driver issue and just within the last few hours I’ve installed windows again for the 3rd time in 4 weeks. I’m still getting BSODs, 3 within the hour from when I completed the Windows install. I haven’t even gotten more than 1 driver installed which was the Fanatec driver for my wheel, I can’t even install the windows updates that are pending now. Im starting to think with some of the BSOD messages about kernel boost lock and some other stuff like that that my CPU may be bad but is there a way I can test that?

Oh also if I can get into basically any game I’m mostly ok, I can play for hours without trouble usually but even going 10-15 in Windows with no programs open leads to some kind of BSOD

I have run memtest86 and got good results so while most of the codes are driver/RAM related I’m having my doubts now.

I’m not sure what else to do at this point. Any help is appreciated.

Here are most but not all of the BSOD I’ve gotten since my last fresh windows install ~9 hours ago.

@Frizbe
Have you installed any ram lately?
If you have, try removing all but one and see how it works.
If you have XMP on, turn it off.

Could also post your specs too to better idea.

Edit:
CPU probably isn't bad but If you built it I would check your thermals on the CPU. It could be running hot.

It can be a RAM issue, driver issue, (Which you have said that you have reinstalled Windows and still causing it so it's most likely not that) Could be PSU, GPU could be causing it, and worse is the Motherboard.

Here’s the specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NP24XP

Also changing XMP to auto hasn’t helped. I don’t have other spare parts to test with but everything was purchased brand new back in August. I’m going to look for a cheap RAM kit to test with.

You have mentioned it was okayish since you built it?
I would assume that now after looking at the list.
I would suggest if you have a different GPU, test that first. (If you have a 1050 or something)
If it works and no BSOD then it it narrows it to the GPU.
Then I would suggest looking at the PSU if you wanted to run the 2070 super.
650 is the recommended PSU level which is what you have and that doesn't leave much if you OC.

I haven’t messed around with anything like OCing outside of whatever Afterburner auto detected. Though I did not know about the recommended PSU, I got that one based on what PCPP said the total would be.
And yeah it’s worked since I built it but ever since the initial build I’ve had BSODs at least once every 2-3 weeks. Right now though I can’t go more than about 5 minutes if I’m lucky.

I would suggest maybe trying a different GPU and see if you can get longer than 5 minutes if you have.
If you can then it's most likely a PSU not being able to hold the 2070 Super.

Thanks for the ideas I’ll try what I can but my one thing with it being PSU/GPU is that I’m games seems fine once I can get into them? I would have thought if it was those two interacting games would be basically impossible to run?

Gaming I do believe is more GPU and RAM than CPU.
So more of your power is powering the GPU.
As you do more and cache more stored into ram it takes a bit longer to load and unload data.

There is only a handful of games that are CPU intensive. GTA, Far Cry 5, Cities, Civ 5 or 6.
But mostly it's all GPU.

You can probably put in your numbers here
https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

See what you can come up with.

If you can get into bios see what version it is.
Looking on ASrock latest bios is 2.30

If up to date then check lower GPU.

That’s a neat site. Says I need a 500w PSU though...

also I tried my RAM one at a time and in a different slot, no changes.

Alright so update @TJ13 manually installing the nvidia drivers instead of using GeForce now and updating the BIOS seems to have helped. If I boot the computer it works for a while. I’ve actually been able to game on it sort of as well. Use whocrashed I’ve narrowed it down to an unknown driver

Well that's good.
I know that every once in awhile GeForce doesn't always give me updates.
Yet when I use Driver Easy program it will show an update.

By the way you can use the free version of driver easy ( https://www.drivereasy.com/ ) To help find and update drivers. (Only problem is that the free version the download speeds are terribly slow.)
I normally run a weekly scan and update as needed.

I know that early BIOS for Ryzen 3000s were buggy and caused issues early but have since been stable.

If you still get BSOD after manually downloading and updating drivers then need to figure out some things.

Tried driver easy, I’m so desperate I paid for it even. Now windows won’t boot at all and my RAM wasn’t detected at one point.....

Definitely the last time I build a PC from scratch.

Type "MdSched.exe" into the search bar.
Right click Run as Administrator
Tell it to run on next reboot.
Reboot PC
Let the memory test run.

------------------------------------

Test with XMP and with XMP setting sett OFF/DISABLE

It was the motherboard, bought the replacement on Friday, got it two days early today, haven't had an issue since reinstalling Windows. Thanks for the response @Grayfox and for the help earlier @TJ13
