Why does it looks like someone punched him on the nose.

Gotta say, I quite like the colour combo. Happy they didnt use the Indian flag colours.

They do make up for that by adding a huge 'HONDA' on the wing :p

Yeah, they already stated that it'll be white/red - but something tells me this design is not the final one. If it is, it'll be quite disappointing, compared to the other white-red warriors - Aguri and Toyota.

As sexy as the myearthdream livery looked, I'm willing to bet that it added a lot to the car's weight. I know Renault's ING design this year weighed in at just over four kilograms, so image what Honda's would be like ...

Van der Garde is hardcore, look at the amount of space he has left to see through on his visor. lol Reminds me of Robocop.

I think that's Rodriguez; he and van der Garde have remarkably similar helmet designs, the difference being that Rodriguez has more yellow and van der Garde uses more orange. They were probably designed by Force India's in-house staff or something, but both do have a pretty narrow visor.

It's moot point, though; I doubt either will be driving in 2008.

The re-branded Force Indias were out in...well, force! The interim livery looks quite appealing. What do you think - White, dark red and gold?

I think there are enough cars running not at the sharp end of the grid in red and white already. Lets just have it in green, white and orange like the Team India A1GP car and give the TV directors and cameramen something different to focus on.

^ or not. Green, white and orange does not lend itself well to a nice looking livery.

Each to their own I guess, I hate it. lol

You know... The first Mercedes Silver Arrows were born when the car was a KG over the limit, and in a last-minute effort they shaved the color off the aluminum - and proceeding to win. ;)

Plus, Honda's EarthCar is just colors. McLaren's has actual chrome all over the car. And remember - those 5KGs are negligible, simply because every other competitor has a livery as well.

They even have the exact same mirrors......

There actually was a confusion in the time-sheets, since the cars are 100% identical, apart from some minor sponsor-logos on the Aguri car. :p

If you say that negligible, why did McLaren stepped to Chrome? And STR stated there painting there cars from now on, so i don't know what your talking about Metar.

Err... WHAT?

Negligible according to Merriam-Webster's: "so small or unimportant or of so little consequence as to warrant little or no attention".

Meaning, McLaren's switch to (presumably thin) chrome-coating didn't affect the performance so much. Especially since every car has a livery. It's like saying grooved tyres make the car slower - which, in itself, is a true statement, but doesn't matter if every other car on the track has grooves as well.

And I don't get the part about Toro Rosso.

Some teams paint their cars - others skin their cars (Honda in 2007) - i doubt there is much difference in the weight of each method.

Agreed.

Regardless of the weight of paint or whatever coating a team uses the overall weight of the car will be brought as close to the limit allowed by the regs as the teams dare. Admittedly a lower car weight brought back up by ballast to make it legal gives them the option of moving weight distribution.

Again - the advantage of a car with less weight is obvious, allowing more flexibility with the ballast.

But when you consider that, assuming the livery loses 0.5KG overall, over half that weight comes from the heavier-painted bottom half, that difference becomes close to zero. That was my original point.

that little weight on cars , is what brings the Teams money so I guess nobody would mind a few KGs ;) but now we are really getting way off topic this is winter testing. Now somebody should of posted this
