As sexy as the myearthdream livery looked, I'm willing to bet that it added a lot to the car's weight. I know Renault's ING design this year weighed in at just over four kilograms, so image what Honda's would be like ...

The cars are all underweight anyways so i dont think removing some of the ballast to compensate for the paint would be too hard.

And this is just my opinion but i would have to strongly disagree with the comment about the sexyness of myearthdream livery

Filippi looks rather handy for his first time in the Honda, a shade off Button. 👍

(Still pulling for Marco Andretti to make the jump over the pond however.)

I can respect that. I just think the Honda livery was easily the best on the grid ... until for some reason there were all these incredibly-visible lines running the length of the car (they weren't there in the first few races). It still looked good, just cheapened.

Those lines were names of thousands who made pledges on myearthdream.com, I included. (Button's car)

AHEM! I included also, though I havent found a pic that showed my name yet :(

The myearthdream.com livery grew on me during the season, and ended up quite liking it. Though I would prefer if they went back to theit Racing Revolution graphics of 06.

Nice compilation. I still can't believe that Nakajima was 7th the first day. And Kovalainen! Really! It IS winter testing, but it says a lot for now...

But have you seen how many laps he ran. A whopping 126 laps. Thats twice the race length of Spain GP lol.

I cant imagine what its like to step out of the car after 126 laps. G-Forces cant be healthy throughout an extended period of time :indiff:

My guess is that back in F1's early days, some of the GP races went for 500 km and took about maybe twice as long in time to finish comapred to today's F1 races. I imagine Nakajima drove at least that distance today, breaks or no breaks.;)

And Kovalainen! Really! It IS winter testing, but it says a lot for now...

He was found to have cut the chicane on his last and fastest lap, therefore it has been excluded, relegating him to second. (Like it matters..)

Must say, Toro Rosso done well today..

Do they really have to point out they're on Bridgestone tyres, or is the B for something else?

I thought the Force Indias were going to be running cheap re-treads instead of Bridgestones?

Still, second!

No, actually, it is amazing what winter testing results turn out to be.

According to GPUpdate teams will be given 3 sets of slick tyres for testing next week in Jerez and they say slick tyres may return as soon as 2009.

Forget 2009, if testing goes well, bring them back in march!!!
Whenever they bring back the slick tires, all I can say to that is groovy.:dopey:

Looks like Toyota's really working on that winter testing car, is it me or is it nearly a Ferrari F2007 with a Toyota livery on it?

Testing has begun in Jerez with all the teams, and 3 new drivers are debuting this week.

- Nico Hülkenberg (Williams Toyota)
- Javier Villa (BMW Sauber)
- Marko Asmar (BMW Sauber)

Yep, it begun. And Fisico won't be getting that Force India drive:
