Wireless Card Help

I really hate to admit, by my school's wireless network really does stink. I'm really getting fustrated with it because of the fact that in order to get on to it, you have to go through them and get an acess code put in. The thing is that my wireless card never rembers the code. I have an ilinkys SRX card. I don't have any problems with the card when I go to my local lib to use theirs. I recently noticed that the card has the ablity to save some profiles, meaning that maybe I can save the passcode and never have to go and visit the tech support again. Should I try and make a new profile or should I do something else?

You could just save the passcode in a text file, or does your computer not support notepad?

Yes, you want to have a separate profile for each wireless network you intend to connect to. A profile basically is a configuration setup that is saved. Generally, when you have a profile set up, your wireless card automatically connects to the network once it is in range. That way, you only have to configure your wireless card for the network once. For example, I have two separate profiles. One for my home network and one for the network at my school. The difference between the two profiles is that my home network runs encryption and filtering while the school network doesn't have security.
