Wish to delete account

Sorry to spoil all the fun, but ever since I joined this forum just to keep in touch with GT5 news I've received a whole lot of spam emails.

It might just be coincidence but I would feel a lot happier if I could delete my account.
Troulobe is, I cannot find anywhere that enables me to do this.

There actually isn't any way to delete your account. If you no longer wish to use it or have access to it, simply change the email address in your account to something @example.com. I am very curious, though - could you elaborate on why you think GTPlanet has anything to do with the spam you're receiving? You have been a registered member here since January.
 
I have never had one spam e-mail.
Nor would I wish to be removed from the best forum I've found. (Actually pointed too)
 
I have never had any spam either that I could possibly say was down to gtplanet.

I have an extra mail-adress for forum registrations etc.

How could cause and effect be any clearer?

Besides, even if the spamming world did get your email from gtplanet somehow (not likely,) they have your email now, and deleting your gtplanet account, even if it could be done, would not remove your email from SpamWorld. Another cause/effect disconnect.
 
Never got a spam where I would say it comes from GTP.
Don't know why you should get them from here anyway, Jordan didn't sell our informations to another company and your E-mail adress isn't public.
 
Also, you don't need to join to keep up to date with GT5 news, you can read the site as a guest :confused:
 
Ok, I over-reacted. I will change my account address.
I just find the spam emails quite distressing that's all. I'm not blaming GTplanet, I was just trying to eliminate all possibilities.

There is one way to delete your account - act like a total jerk to everyone and not use this guy (🤬) in place of a swear word. Dammit, that's two actually.
