With all the wonder about premium vs standard cars, why isn't anyone asking about...

How they will be segregated in races?

I mean are we going to have races where some cars break apart and shed pieces on the tracks while others can get a little scratched up? Are they going to be their own groups and classes so they can never be on track with standard cars?

I do believe its been asked and Im almost 100% sure I read that all cars (standard/Premium) will be effected by the same level of mechanical damage despite the visual differences.

I hope as hell they won't mix the two types in races, because that would look funny as they are of completely different quality.

Panels falling off will not affect physics.

Standard cars will get dents, scratches, and dirty. Damage will also efffect physics, I.e Damage to front might mess the seering up.

Closed door briefing
-- Premium cars get --
- Full interior recreation
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation
- Deformation and separation of body panels

-- Standard cars get --
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation

.

Exactly, so if you crash, the consequences are the same for all cars.......

I suspect thats the reason why Devedander was inquiring.

I did ask but it's not thread worthy.

I'll be turning off deformation/seperation of body panels, so there will not be a difference between the two. I will be using chase cam (As a result of there being no cockpit view for the 800, i'm not constantly switching between two views - I stick to one), and I will be a couple of metres from my screen so the visual differences will not bother me

However, if they do not give us the option to turn off premium only damage... It's going to be stupid when there is two cars involved in a high speed collision, one crumples and has body parts falling off, whilst the other has a little dent and no defomation at all.
