GTPlanet, if anything is pretty important in getting the car you've always wanted, it's affordability. You can always go for a new car and have all the things you want most for your ride. You know, options like a navigation system, brushed aluminum interior, side skirt, rear spoiler, and that sort of thing, is going to add up to what you'll pay up front for your new ride. However, you can also turn to secondhand car dealers and such and still have a car to call your own. This is kind of related to what M5Power released recently in these forums, but not exactly. In his thread "Certain People are Dummies," he asked why you would get a base Camry rather than an optioned-out Toyota Corolla. For some, it's about value. For some, you just don't want a fully optioned-out car as a daily driver. Regardless, affordability is key in purchasing any car. And this thread is all about affordability. If you want to talk about affordability of cars, reply now.

To start, a weird example is that the Bentley Continental GT is told to be a 5-figure valued car rather than a $200,000+ mega luxury car. Care to continue? Do.

...if i could understand what you are talking about, i would....

Brushed aluminum interior...brings back memories...at Fusz we had a 6S that was dealer traded, grey with grey interior and the accessory brushed aluminum interior pieces. Man, it sucked. Looked like a K-Mart kit. The kit was a bunch of laminate, like a kitchen counter, just looking like brushed aluminum. The pieces were literally glued on top of existing components in the 6, such as the power window switchs, center console, and around the vents. It looked, in a word, piss-poor. The bits didn't line up at all(ok, blame that on the people who installed it at the dealership it came from, which I know the name of but won't tell), and they didn't take the time to line up the grain of the brushed aluminum so it looked even worse. The pieces also stuck out horribly, since they were just layered ontop of the normal, good plastic. Worst of all, you couldn't drive the car in sunny conditions. The sun would reflect off of a variety of the pieces and go directly into your eyes.
And how much? $295. Yeah...
