Yeah I thought the Supra would be crazy fast and it looks like that's not true. I thought the cars were all pretty close in testing as well. I took the Camaro because no one else had. Now I see why. I actually adore every car in this series, except the RM Vette. Each one has some sort of personal history with me over the span of GT. Either way some of you guys are just crazy fast and I just have to do my best.

I like the American race cars :)
I seriously think everyone missed out by not taking the C5 Vett, it's definitely as fast as the Viper..... maybe quicker ;)

When I tested them all I set the fastest time at about 50% of the tracks with the supra and the rest of the tracks were a mixture of the other cars. But the reason I did not reduce the pp for the supra was for 2 reasons:
1 - It wears its tyres faster
2 - It understeers horribly at some tracks

Obviously this is according to my driving style, so it may different for others. We know Scale, Canu and BYO are really good drivers, so I don't think its is the Viper that it faster. Its the drivers!:)

I think Scale should run with 60kg extra weight added to his car permanently!!!!! and we should get to choose his car for him before every series. Lol. This series I would put him in the Camaro, unfortunately it does seem a little slower than the rest....... but that was just my test results :)

Just an idea....... maybe for the next series, whatever it is we choose. We split the racers up into different categories...... like say fast group, medium group and slow group. We test cars before the series and come up with a fast car, a medium car and a slow car. All the same pp but cars with a district lap time difference. Like say the Ford Falcon race car and the Viper. The Viper would be the Fast car and the Falcon would be the medium car, and the slow car would be something a good second a lap slower than the Falcon. Then before the season we can allocate drivers with a car depending on the group they're in. All the fast drivers get the same slow car, all the medium drivers get the same medium car and all the slow drivers get the same fast car. All the same pp, no more ballast and close racing thru out the field no matter what we decide to race. Fastest qualification start first and no more reverse grid, just two races, one sprint and the main race. :)

Hey guys please stop knocking the Supra.... LOL

It is crazy fast. Especially in a straight line. If all the cars in the series had to line up on a drag strip, the Supra will be at the end first guaranteed. The only thing about it is that the Supra struggles in the corners. Depending on the corner, it ranges from frustrating understeer to smile-inducing oversteer.
But like I said, a lot of set-up is required to get it right for each track but that also makes it more fun... Well for me at least. The Supra is very quick for a short race but for longer races, it is tiresome. It makes you fight for on grip every corner and if you get it wrong, you are stuffed. Even more so when your tires wear down. That is why in the races I have been running mediums and not softs... On softs it would be a real threat (if the tires can last) but realistically the tires will only last about 4-5 laps.

Think I might be there :)

Ally- my tires only last 4-5 laps and they're shredded....... it just means you have to stop more, but I think it's faster than running mediums :)

Canu - I like your idea about slow, medium and fast groups. We would just need to decide what group to assign new drivers to.

Driver - Can't make practice tonight. Racing RC :)

scale should run 400bhp less permanently lol

Please dont restrict Scale.....part of the challenge is to try beat him. I dont like the idea of beating him and then you know its only because he has restricted power.

Driver 101

Was only kidding Driver lol. I'm gonna wip him around Laguna ;)

I am struggling here. My car is tight in loose out and I need it to be the opposite.

Also, the rear of the car keeps sliding out. I have my ballast towards the read but it seems to idea more? Shouldn't it slide less because the tires should be more planted right?

So if I understand correctly, I get a 10PP bonus for being 2nd to last in last weeks race right?

Hey bubble...... don't worry about ballast, I never touch mine. Concentrate more on your front and rear wing balance...... and brake diff and brake balance settings for corner entry....... and rear toe and diff torque settings for corner exit. But get your wing settings right first, with gear ratio, that's 80% their ;)

I have a good gear ratio, it's nearly perfect. But I just can't control the car, would you help me?

Turn down your acceleration sensitivity on the LSD to about 15. That'll keep the rear tires from spinning so much.

Guys it seems that PSN is going to be down today until tomorrow morning.... Check the news section of GTplanet for more info...

No! I hope the race gets changed to Tuesday because I don't think I'd be able to race on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday learn Friday! Or if it gets postponed to next weekend, maybe even Saturday, it would be nice.

So it the network down now? Has anyone checked?

I was able to sign in. Apparently it's just after noon Pacific time (which is five hours behind me), so I will go does in approximately 8 hours. Everyone on PSN will be signed out. So we basically have 2.5 hours to the race if we start the sprint at 2:30 EST (9:30 Pacific).

Homes, I recommend postponing or starting sooner.
