Yeah I have the same question. We went ahead an hour.

I really wish Homes would check this and answer his PSN messages. He's online but wont answer. Its frustrating.

SA doesnt have daylight savings so we dont skip an hour. As far as I am aware we start at the same GMT time as before...

So then how long from now do we start?

I don't mean to piss in anyone's Cheerios, but the lag in the room is kind'a starting to take the wind out of my sails...:indiff:

I agree, well kinda. I'm slow so I don't have to deal but you and me reached a new level of lag.

Yeah I know wat u mean greest but unfortunately lag is part of of online play. Sometimes your connection will be compatible with the server and sometimes it wont... There isnt much anyone can do bout it except try to have a good line speed and pray for the best...

Good morning guys :)

Hell that was a fun night!

Ally you had the sprint race pretty much done and dusted and you went and tossed it........ oi yoi yoi lol. You must b kicking yourself, tough luck buddy. I had to drive really cautious cause I was on softs so I couldn't really charge, so you had my number dude ;)
But the feature race..... all I say is wow..... crazy fun race guys. Homes, Driver, Scale and I had a huge battle for the first 7-8 laps, swapping positions at every corner, great driving guys! Their was a little nudging here and there but all in good spirit and it was so much fun! Homes tried a different pit strategy and pretty much lost the tow, but the rest of us continued our insanely close race for a while longer until Scales game froze and I bumped into him. I waited for him to get going again, thinking I had knocked him off, and lost 14 seconds on the lead. It's a pity cause we were having such a great race and it would have been a grandstand finish if Scale stayed online. I did qualifying laps all the way to the end, but Driver was to fast and a deserved winner. Well done dude ;)
Now the championship is getting interesting!!!!!!! Bring on Deep Forrest..... this one is a Viper test track so watch out boys ;) haha ha

"A bitter sweet victory"

Thanks for the awesome race guys, it was a little bitter sweet for me as the two Vipers tangled, Canu lost huge time and Scale froze up. It would have been fantastic if we could have finished what we started at the end.

I must say I drove my very best to hold Canu behind in the last stint. Pressure of note. I lost time in the pits by forcing a very quick entry speed. Lesson learnt.

Also I totally forgot to watch the fuel. I nearly ran out....lol

Anyway I am happy to bank in some points, well done to everyone.

During the week around the same time as the racing on Sundays, I am usually online setting up and doing a fair amount of practice. You are all welcome to join in, work on set up and share tips to make the racing closer.

See you on track
👍

Yep I did. Lapse of concentration on my part. Should have won but oh well..

I had an OK race last night the sprint race went ok up until the point I DC.

The feature race was a nightmare for me. On the warm up lap my car just locked up because I accidentally adjusted my ABS to 0 while I was driving and then spun off. Stupid me. LOL.:ouch::ouch:
Then while working my way through the pack I got caught up behind Petrol. Every time I caught up to him and tried to pass, I got hit by him and had to suffer a collision penalty and at some point a short cut penalty. Happened like four times so my race was pretty much stuffed because of it. He had some serious lag and no fault of his own was crashing into cars next to him. Made it extremely difficult to get past him and once you were past, he would knock you over the braking points or randomly appear infront of you causing you to hit him and get a penalty.

As they say, you win some, you lose some.

Great race Driver. Well deserved win...

Thinking about the next series....... looks like it might be German Touring cars. I think Homes should allocate the all fast drivers with the same slow car and all the slow drivers with the same fast car etc etc.
Homes knows the relative performance of the drivers and the different speeds of the cars at the same pp. I think it will creat close racing where we can all battle together ;)

90's DTM like the current series been run.

Jeeeezzz...we already thinking of the next one. We've just started getting into this one now?

All good though

It's nice to have something to mess about with after a Sunday race and to get a feel for the next one, but trust me....... I'm amped to win this one first ;) haha ha

Guys, I dont see greest's name in the results list (photo) for either the sprint or main race. Did he finish???

Don't think Greest raced last night. he was saying that he couldn't see Bubble and didn't want to spoil his race...

He was mainly watching both races...

Maybe he should get some points for watching the entire event....

Homes I'd like to give the (few) points I earned to greest if allowed and if he would like, because he didn't get to race because of me and that wasn't fair to him.

You won't believe how close this championship is...

Right through the points table there are some great battles going on.

The following is the 'real' points table showing your positions with your 2 worst results so far excluded.

I have circled the drivers who are competing against one another in the same colour/color (lol):

Poor Rikkos - He is in no-mans land at the moment...

Im not sure how much experience Rikkos has but this is really good way to gain experience. I did the first three seasons in DTM and it helped me learn alot. I didn't even know how to set up a car and those guys let me hang with them. Very cool.

I knew me, Petrol, and Bubble were close in points. In the sprint race they both passed me at the end because my tires were gone. But at the end of the regular race I passed both of them on the last lap because of their tires. Or at least I'm pretty sure it was a tire issue. My tires were gone as well, just a sliver left. Also no fuel left at all. Maybe a half gallon. Liter? Half liter of petrol? Anyway I passed Bubble at the last chicane and then came out of the last turn to see Petrol doing 360's down the front straight. I know you guys hated it but it made my day.

I don't wanna make a big fuss about it but I was wrecked again in the opening laps. Hit from behind in the braking zone for the second chicane. Lap 3 I think. Which completely ruined my tire strategy. Reversing the grid and putting the faster guys in the back in going to create problems. But you guys have got to be more patient. I know accidents happen and they are a part of racing, but this is two races in a row and definitely contact by one of the fast 5. I don't know who it was but you know who you are. I will let you guys pass me cleanly but you've got to give me a chance.

I haven't raced at Monza in a long time and that was pretty fun.

I still don't know how to set up a car. You'd think I would because I've been playing racing games for roughly 6 years and GT5 since release.

Also, you passed me on a combination of things. For one, you were somehow faster (not that you're a bad driver, but with my PP bonus I had 100% power and 0kg ballast), and my tires were ******. I held out too long, and I ended up screwing myself over.

Yeah, I hounded you for alot of that race. Lol. I was just quicker in a few corners. Slow in, fast out. I have quite a bit of experience at Monza too. I'll depress you even more and tell you I was on mediums. And in an inferior car.

I was on hards all race. I tried to make it on 2 stops, and I was a lap and a half short. If only I'd have let you pass a lap sooner I wouldn't have been tearing my tires up trying to keep you back. But I had fun back there. I was really surprised at how many times you pushed me trhough the straights instead of passing. And in the first chicane, I really screwed up my tires because I braked way late, and then cut real sharp to the inside of the straight to block you, just resulting in a worse angle out of the chicane. Also, one time you got around me there and went off to the grass a bit further up the track. What was that all about? It's a sweeper haha.

Dude, my bad, I thought you were on softs. Now I'm the depressed one! I should have passed you way earlier. Pushed you through the straights because I didn't want to get into a passing match with you. That track is almost all drafting and I would rather follow someone and pass them at the right time than risk wrecking each other. Now that I know you were on hards I could have run away from you. I thought you were on softs and would just keep trying to pass me back. Yeah, the lawn mowing incident. I passed you then completely spaced out for a second and just drifted into the grass. I called myself an idiot and started chasing you again. I forgot about that part.

Homes,

I backed out of the sprint race when Bubble claimed I was racing dirty, but he wasn't on my screen, on my map, or on my drivers list. I left the main race for the same reason.

I earned no points because I did't compete. Keep it that way. Any points that Bubble got should be his because he earned them. I didn't.

I feel no animosity towards anyone. It's a game, and it is what it is. I just want to keep having fun. Y'all are a great bunch to run with, and I don't want that to change.

A little heads up: Deep Forest is my favorite track. I plan on kicking azz and taking names...:sly:

wrt pit stop strategy....I and Canu have tested the quickest way, and I must say that running softs or meduims (track depending) and doing more stops is much faster than doing long stints.

You will notice how often we come in for tires, the last race I ran softs on front and mediums on the rear and stopped every 7 laps (3 stops).

We need to start practicing together, start sharing a little info to get the grid closer.

Greest - I love the fighting spirit bud.....bring it on

Good morning Sassafrass :)

From my perspective it is really tough passing you guys sometimes purely because you're trying to let us by without incident. I know it sounds daft, but what generally happens most races is......say 2 of the faster guys will be running closely going thru the field and one of the slower guys will actually get off the racing line to let the faster guy thru. But then the slower guy will pull back onto the racing line just before the corner in the braking area so as to take the right line into the corner, but without realizing how fast the next fast guy is closing. By that time the faster guy is already in the braking area and the slower guy is coming onto his line and he has nowhere to go but up his tailpipe haha ha. Monza just exaggerates the issue because the closing speeds are so hectic.
Just my opinion....... it would be better if the slower guys just stayed on there racing line and stopped worrying about the faster guys. Just race your race, cause after all it is for position and you shouldn't be making it easier lol. Allow us to just pass you like we would anyone else cause when you start looking behind you to much you end up all over the track and creating confusion. It's also really difficult cause sometimes the slower guys brake so early compared to the faster guys and when you bring the change of direction in the braking area into it it become an accident waiting to happen. But anyway...... that's just my opinion and it's all meant in good spirit and just to help the racing be better. The whole reason why we do a reverse grid start is to make it interesting and to give the slower guys a chance to go door handle to door handle with the faster guys and have a good race...... not just for them to get out the way. Some of the most fun battles I've had have been with Petrol, he makes you work hard to get past no matter who you are and gives it horns! He knows how to race and holds his position fairly, even if he is a little slower sometimes. Its brilliant and i dig my races with him.Sometimes it takes a few laps to get by him and it's frustrating as hell, but that's the kinda racing that brings me back every week, balls to the wall..... but clean.
We will try be more patient tho..... promise. Just gotta add that I think Scale must be commended on his patients at the beginning of races lately, he has set the example and has been flawless. Well done Scale ;)
