What will the damage setting be during the races? And penalties?
 
Damage off, penalties on weak for the races. 1:19.703 online, in race by myself with penalties on and everything. Little tweaks here and there. It's possible:)
 
Really Damage off/Penalties On WTF. Why would you have penalties on when someone can review the replay ? TBH I don't think I'll be racing if penalties are on, as most of the time they are unfair. I'm more than able to race clean and keep to wheels on the track but if I do make a mistake I would rather have someone reviewed it and gave me penalty.
 
Reviewing all 26 drivers for 30 laps on every corner to make sure they didn't cheat or cut the corner a little will take a serious long time.... like days!!! Penalties on makes it the same for everyone.... it's fair. With the penalties off you can sneak a little on every corner here and there and bring your lap time down by a full second. That's not fair and can't be monitored, so some guys will take advantage. I'm not saying that you would so don't get me wrong:) We just had a awesome championship with them on, no problems.
 
But if someone crashes in front of you and you have no option but to hit them you get a penalty even though it wasn't your fault. Also with pen's you end up with people ghosting through your car, which means they don't have to overtake so you can't really drive defensivly to keep your postion. If you go off track cause (you ran wide/someone nudged you) you can end up with a penalty for cutting even though you never gained any time. As you can tell I'm not really a fan of penalties 👎 but I'll give it go see what happens.

Yeah 1'19 I think will be the time to beat was hitting 1'20.0 after about 5 laps and a few setup ajustments, so 1'19 should be no problem.

Thanks for the setup.

Not sure but I might have added Weight Reduction/Engine Tuning which are irreversible parts, so your setup may be impossible to copy if you didn't add them and I did (without Power Limiter/Ballast). :nervous:
 
Ah, GT5 penalties, nothing like being hit into and getting a penalty for it.👎

we have used the damage off and penalty's on weak
for the Last 2 series it works really well and it will not be up for debate as i will be hosting one of the rooms
 
Think I'm going to pull myself out of this league, sorry. :(

I'll need Thursdays free now as its most likely I won't finish a race.

I agree on race line on.
Weak slipstream defeats the object of close racing. Isnt that what this lupo cup is all about? Lets have a voting pole on this homes?

Weak slipstream is more realistic, still quite strong though, strong slipstream is just, go past each other on each straight, out-braking ain't needed and it's a race of luck instead of skill.
 
Been in bed sick since friday. Feeling a bit better now so we are still on far a bit of practice later. 👍

Just found out you can't repaint this car, so my car is stuck at Orange/Brown. :grumpy:
 
Just a quick reminder about tonights practice...

The clocks in Britain have now changed, so for those in SA, 8pm gmt now means 10pm your time!

Not going to make it to Practice tonight. Still need to add Litchi, my team-mate and get a better setup. Currently I'm running 1:26.4 at best, whereas I need around 1:20-1:21 to be competitive. :(

You should organise the list of signed up drivers into team mates and chosen team colours so its easy to see who's using what and who has a team-mate or not. 👍

I'm not going to commit just yet. Never driven the Lupo cup car in anger and I don't usually enjoy FWD cars. I'll give it a whirl and then see where it leaves me. Nice idea for a series though. Good luck with it. :)
 
Hopefully you guys have had fun in practicing, I'll do some other time when people got time. I'm sort of horrible at winning Autumn Ring but I rock at Eiger :cool:

Well...sorry then...but you can remove me from the list. I think there's no such thing as 'real life tactics' with transparent cars
