Loving my IS-2 in the Historic battles. It's the 7th level, but you can take down King Tigers which are level 8, if you beat in numbers and cooperate with the mates well. The tactic is kinda close to the historic reality. :D

Is it new on the X360 version? On the PC, it is possible for a long time already.

The X360 version was officially released in February (I think). But it was in closed beta since E3 2013.

EDIT: This update is quite amazing. Adds a lot more immersion to this game and the audio is spot on for the rain. When you are on the inside view, you actually hear the rain drops falling on the tank in surround sound.

EDIT2: Had some killer rounds over the weekend. 3 great games in a row!

For all the WoT players on GTPlanet who reside in the US, I would like to wish all of you a Happy Tanks-giving. :sly::dopey:

For all the X-BOx WoT players, I was wondering if you move the tanks forward and backward via the traditional 2 controller stick method like the traditional tanks.
 
Left stick moves the tank while the right stick moves the turret.

Since this thread was last updated, Xbox players received a ton of stuff. This includes:

German Leopard Line
Russian and British Arty
French Tanks
and (most recently) the Maus/Porsche line + 2nd Russian TD line

Their was also some maps, bug fixes, etc.

I don't think it's possible. I tried using my X360 controller and it didn't work. It worked fine for World of Warplanes but not for World of Tanks.
 
Hey so I forgot we had a WoT thread.

Currently I have the Jagdtiger with the better 128mm cannon. I'm pretty close to the JagdPz E-100.

Sadly I haven't been able to play since November because of internet issues (using wifi at the moment). Still that should be fixed by this weekend. Then I will have to sit through 3 hours of updates just to play the game. Still could be worse.

I'm really bummed though that I'm going to miss out on the T7 Combat Car. Yes it's garbage but dammit it's a rare tank and I want it.
 
I don't even remember the name of the level 9 tank I unlocked. I have not played in at least a month or two because most of my time is now on the X1. So I am looking forward to this coming over to the X1 and even more excited to be able to play with players on the 360.
 
Hate to bump this but this the only WoT thread. Anyone else play the X360 version of WoT? I got my internet back up and running so I can finally play again.
 
Speaking of X360, does anyone play WoT, regardless of platform, with a XBox/PS3 DualShock controller setup? It would be interesting to see how people fare with driving a tank with the classic dual-lever controller.

I play the 360 version. It's pretty easy for me.

I also tried War Thunder on the PC using a wired 360 controller. It's pretty easy there as well.
 
As you can see from the pics above I also play the 360 version. I think the last tank I unlocked was a level 9 tank. Havent played in a while but I never had any problems at all using the controller. In fact there is an auto lock button that I use once in a while. Cant remember if it is LB?

Really looking forward to this coming to the X1.
 
One last bump as a reminder that the X1 beta pre-download is tomorrow the 10th. The beta is only available the 11th and 12th.
 
It's coming to PS4 on January 19th. PS+ is not required to play it and PS+ Subscribers get access to an exclusive version of the "Panzer II" tank.

There are plenty of other Panzers II in the game.
The J is present in the PC version (was bundled in some pack), it has good armor but terrible cannon.

This will be the exclusive one for PS4:

I've tried World of Warships and that's super fun, but War Thunder has both air combat, and tanks, and you can play both in a match too..

Very nice. Can PS3 members play with PS4 members in the same game?

Currently the X1 allows 360 players to play with X1 at the exact same time. Hopefully they allow you to do that on the PS4/PS3.

Is didn't even know it was even on PS3. I haven't seen anything mentioning anything like that.

oh maybe it is not. I guess that answers the question. It has been on 360 for a long time. Just nice they allow X1 and 360 players to play together at the exact same time in the same maps. You can also swap from 360 to X1 and it remembers your profile and your tanks. Quite impressive. Maybe they will eventually bring it to the PS3.

I played it once, and I uninstalled it from my desktop..
