Not any more...

:trouble:

Why should it be removed? If you can't be bothered to read carefully something that you're willing to spend over a grand for, it's your fault.

I never saw that advert, but the original one (in post #1) is clearly intended to be misleading - correct me if I'm wrong...?

Yes, fair enough, if you're gullible enough to fall for it, you might want to look into it, but that's only half the issue - deception (in this country anyway) is a crime, and there are plenty of people out there who subscribe to the 'well, if you're stupid enough to fall for it, it's your own fault' attitude... I personally don't... people like that don't care who or why people fall their scams, and more often than not, it is the vunerable and less privileged (either socially or mentally) who end up being exploited...

Is there a way to report this auction so somebody else doesn't get screwed over?

Edit: Done. Talked live to a representative and should have that auction closed soon.

Why did you do that? If someone is too stupid/lazy to actually read the description and KNOW what he/she is buying it's their own damn fault. The seller is not doing anything wrong, the buyers are by making assumptions because they just have to have a PS3. (Bear in mind the original buyer was also willing to pay $300 over the retail price, because he cannot wait a month for them to be in stock at stores consistantly)

I have absolutley NO sympathy for buyers like that guy or the people who wound up with console boxes. If you do not want to be be screwed over, take the time to actually pay attention and figure out what you are buying. If your greed and haste fetches you 3 PS1s that were advertised as such, it is your fault, and your fault alone.

It may be foolish to be careless with on online purchase, but intentional deception is still fraud, and it's illegal. That's why he reported it.

OTOH, it goes the other way once in a while. This guy posted his auction with a default Buy it Now price, and has to let it go for 99 cents:

That is pretty silly.

I hope the buyer offered a little more as a goodwill gesture.

i think that the seller wasnt at fault here but the buyer shouyld of been more careful when buying because the seller even says 3 playstation consoles and why is it his faulty that someone decided to pay a ridiculus amount of money for his playstations when the buyer should be more careful and read what the description says before just buying one
