Amen to those. 👍

I can't stand people who need to have the last word in arguements. Its just so irritating, especially when they know they are in the wrong.

I also can't stand people watching me for more than 10 seconds...

I thought of another one. People with bad grammar in their posts when english is their first language.

I have to say, hearing people eat is very high on my peeves list.

My pet peeve, however, is people who ask what your "worst pet peeve" is - you can only have one "pet" peeve. All the rest are just general peeves.
;)

At first glance, I thought you said Bagpipes on Airplanes.... now THAT is irritating

(One) pet peeve of mine is one that nearly got me killed this very morning... motorists who fail to stop at pedestrian crossings. Just last night I saw a kid running across the road, albeit at a crossing, but clearly under the assumption that the on-coming car was going to stop. It did, but I thought to myself "You shouldn't do that, I've seen too many bunches of flowers tied to those railings to mark the spot where people have been killed on this road"... completely ignoring my own advice, on the way to work this morning, I crossed at my usual crossing point. A line of semi-slow traffic was trickling up the road, and I just assumed that the car pulling forward was going to stop, given that I was actually on the crossing... the ******** (insert 🤬 of your own choice here) didn't stop, and he ran right into me... only because I jumped back did I avoid ending up on his bonnet... after explaining to him that this was a pedestrian crossing and that maybe he should pay more attention to his driving (in a polite and friendly manner), I made my way safely into work...

Always the diplomat.

People who do not check their blindspots before changing lanes on the highway, the people that think automatically, " Hey, my signal light is on, that means I can change lanes without checking to see if someone is right beside me.... ", WELL BITE ME BLONDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

( sorry, roadrage is getting the better of me...)

Definitley people who watch me surf the internet. I'm ok with people watching me play a game, but it's different for when I'm reading web pages.

👍.

I don't know what my pet peeve is, I was thinking of putting my dad, but that wouldn't be fair , probably scallies in general.

Same here...especially when my calss mate is sitting next to me when we eat and he does that. But he can't help it, he has some kind of symptom. (he have tic)

Oh, and I have to agree on wath Impreza said, people looking at your screen by coriousness, it's irritating.

Mine is people riding in the passing (left in the US) lane.

In my state we even have signs that say "Keep right except to pass." Since I am passing everyone I spend a great deal of time passing people but when there is a gap in the right-hand lane I get over.

While it is a complaint that is due to me wanting to drive faster it is actually an issue for emergency vehicles. They shouldn't need to ride behind you while they wait for you to turn down your radio or look in your rear-view mirror. If it is an EMT your obliviousness could cost someone their life.

I really hate chewing gum. I hate the whole chewing openly, chewing constantly and worst of all the whole having to pull it out and (Hopefully) put in the bin.

I don't get what is so tempting about it, but perhaps if I chewed gum I'd fiddle less.

I bite my lips.. solves the problem of no gum... Though i do end up with the taste of bllod sometimes O_o

Glad to see some people agree with me on the hovering over the shoulder bit

For me it is either that or just snack. It also freshens my breath and it helps to prevent plaque on your teeth when you can't brush after meals. I do try to be considerate and only chew at my desk, throwing it away when I get up and wrapping it in scrap paper so it won't stick to anything if my garbage can gets knocked over or whatever.

I do try and be considerate

My wife's pet peeve would have to be when people use the phrase "try and". If you're going to both TRY to be considerate and BE considerate (those are the two things you mentioned), then why do you have to list them both. When you say "try and" you're saying that you're going to try, AND you're going to be successful. So just say you're going to be successful at being considerate.

What most people mean when they say "try and" is "try to".

Agreed.

My mother's nagging, and her trying to get me up and rush me in the morning.
