worth getting spa??

So I was looking through the online lobbies, and I saw spa francorchamps! I didnt even get the dlc yet! So I clicked on it and I could actually race on it. I thought that spa was only dlc???

And since you can race on it what is the point of getting it in the first place.

Sorry if I sound stupid! 💡
 
Well there are advantages to having it

- You can use it offline in practice and arcade mode
- You can use it online
- You can use it online and be the host of the lobby
- Buying Spa also gets you the kart track
- Spa is awesome

Buy it;)
 
That's because when the Spec II update is downloaded Spa is already on it, just not activated till you download the DLC. However because of the way online works Spa is raceable even if you don't have it. Also why you will see the TC DLC cars online too.
 
Spa is epic, buy it you won't be disappointed.
 
if your only going to use it online dont buy it, you can use the kart spaces online aswell without buying them (providing you have a kart) bad move on pd's part in my opinion, should have been like cod map packs. although I do expect to see somekind of update for this (when n,a sales are S:censored:T)

Is this true? I've been on Spa quite a few times now, but have yet to see the new kart track(s).

To answer the op's question: Yes. The track is great, I'll definitely be getting it once it is released here in North America 👍
 
So I've been in a couple of Spa lobbies.
Big difference from Spa that I drove in NFS Shift.
But one question I have is : where the hell is pit in ?

As you get round the hard right just before the pit straight, keep right n you'll see it :)

So now I have to use older versions which are not compatable with the DLC I payed for.

So getting it! Getting the whole package when i get home. Need more race friends though. If you friend me, bear with me, still not fully used to the g27.

That's a bummer.

Don't buy it. Use someone else's. Physics are different from online do no use tuning offline for it. Save some dosh.

The "GT5 Insufficient HDD Space" Problem is back with a vengance. Myself and many others are getting it now with 2.0.

So far the only fix is to resort back to an earlier update.

How much HDD space do you have available? Just asking in case I may run into this issue. I currently have around 460GB free

I have 117GB left on the HDD (A brand new 160GB PS3).

I've even done a clean format and started from scratch to fix it. No luck.

A quick google will show many others with this problem in 2.0. It needs to be addressed.
 
Ah, Well I hope it gets fixed soon for ya. Hopefully I won't run into the same issue.
 
I was thinking the exact same thing! I pretty much only race online now, I barely ever play by myself and when I do it's just to test a new car or something like that.

I've already talked myself out of getting the whole package because tbh the DLC cars aren't anything new and its $24! And every time I play online I race at Spa so what's the point?

I might though, as it's only $8 for the track pack. Hopefully the next batch of DLC has better cars...

Really? Take the right turn of the right/left chicane at the start of the pit straight and keep to the right hand side of the track, go straight ahead and it's there dude

It's there, but at least in all of the
online lobbies I've been in, it's blocked.

Oh right, there must be some kind of restriction that I wasn't aware of then in the lobby section, I've never noticed that before, I'm quite new to the online side of it, I've still got a lot to learn clearly lol do you go in rooms with restrictions on?

I found it. Like was stated, it's after the chicane far right side.
What I saw blocked was after the pit lane straight, just past the hairpin.
