I'm in the midst of makin a Sim video that have correct FOV, but the inability to hide the wheel really piss me of.

Have a look to this video which I recorded on PC and using Game Stock Car Extreme

YT :

and now compare with this video I made on GT6

YT :

I hope the PD developers will have this feature on current GT6

This is where the premium cars have its value, the cockpit :D

You have the field of view (FOV) completely right. So I guess you couldnt see the game wheel in real life because your own wheel (Logitech G27?) is exactly in that spot. You can only see the game wheel from the viewing point of the videocamera.

Great videos by the way.

I rather have a "no hands" option. Just the wheel.

Love how much the elevation changes really stand out with the more accurate FOV:tup:👍

I have Oculus Rift and the experience is much better than monitor, it's mind blowing and and I would not coming back to my triple screen PC. So I hope Sony, PD can do something about racing in VR ( Project Morpheous ). Maybe GT6 graphics quality but on PS4 + Morpheus is more than enough

Have a look on this demo video

Caution : 1 took a week to eliminate motion sickness and then the true color of VR will shine

PS4 + GT7 + Oculus Rift = Best idea ever. It would make GT7 the most realistic driving simulator possible, no?

That looks ****ing good, I gotta get me one of those. :)

NO! Because good looks dont make a "realistic" simulator. Maybe a good looking one. For the "most realistic simulator" many other things are much more important.

Maybe most realistic in terms of visual appearence, but aren't GT6's physics already one of the best out there?

OK, good point. But the question remains what GT wants to "simulate"? It is named the "real driving simulator" - so maybe they just want us to "drive".

Unfortunately you have to "race" in GT. And GT is lacking almost anything of the racing experience - especially offline. Just take the fact, that it doesnt matter if you drive unfair or ruthless. There are no consequences at all - you have to agree that this is not very realistic at all.

On console? Yes, but only because there's hardly any competition.
Stacked up against PC sims? No, GT has a long way to come yet.

I could probably name 10 things that are missing or wrong with the tyre model alone.

They pick up heat almost instantaneously.
They shed heat almost instantaneously.
They don't overheat from long term abuse like real tires do.
Camber doesn't add grip like it should.
Camber doesn't add heat like it should.
Tire model doesn't accurately represent the grip characteristics of older cars, not even close actually IMO.
Tire model doesn't represent the wear characteristics of the various eras.
Flatspotting, graining etc. aren't in the tire model.
No tire pressure adjustment.
No caster adjustments.

Shall I go on?...

They don't explode after long burnouts. (hell, even GTA has that feature...)
They're too loud.
