Hi gt3-kid & WELCOME to the Forum:
The only times I have are suppossedly for "Gold", but they're taken from the Versus Books Guide & it is absolutely FULL of errors.
According to them:
T1.....24.139
T2...1'06.542
"should" yield Gold.

Try a "Search" for S-8 as I remember seeing several threads w/hints for passing this test...UB57

My guess as to what Monkytech was referring to is if you watch the demo, and note the time it would likely make your life easier.

Yes, the demo is definitely the thing to watch here. You will usually see that the demo run makes a mistake in one part of the course, and you'll be quicker through that part. You need to remember this when you're figuring laptimes.

S-8 is the test with the Toyota GT-One right? If so....

My tips :

1. Watch the demo.
2. Watch the demo. ( with replay analyser )
3. Run the license test in 3rd gear. This will make the GT-One much more easier to control, since it always spins out when you exit a corner. You will save quite some time if you run in 3rd gear through the corners. Correct me if I'm wrong. This was what I did to get bronze anyway

W/ the manual transimission and everything!

changing from auto to manual reALLY had me worried, but i picke dit up pretty quick, and am tryign to carry it over into my other races

Congrats - you don't need to be under the splits, just as long as you're under the goal time at the end!
