Would update 1.1 be major at release?

What I mean is before you press start race or drive. That annoying song with the kids singing. And the online lobby song before entering the race.

Also online takes very long to load up and is unreliable. There's always a message saying "You have been disconnected from the server" after sometime even when it's not fixed host.

Top it up, PSN disconnects oftenly.

Unfortunately for any developer, no matter what choice of music they go with, a percentage of people will hate it. They didn't go for classical nor drum 'n' bass, but instead something neutral and not too dis-similar from the jazz style that has always been part of GT's character from the very first game on PSone. Going with neutral music plus a few dance-style driving tracks such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Calvin Harris/Deadmau5 is a good compromise for everyone.

Plus, as other gamers have mentioned, you can disable any of the tracks and add your own music if you want to. I don't think anyone can complain about it.

The loading times have improved a great deal with patches, but you forget that there is over 25GB of data on that disc and a pretty hefty 8GB HDD install. It is only because GT5 is such a huge game and so demanding on the PS3 that it doesn't load as fast as Wipeout Fury for example.

Most network errors are a result of overloaded servers and some gamers' poor Internet connections.

The reliability of PSN is nothing to do with GT5 or PD. Blame Sony for that.

Kaz has confirmed in-race saves at some point. There's a good chance of that featuring in 1.10/1.1. Any other features are subject to speculation, but the last major update included a number of things that the GTplanet community asked and voted for.

I just don't understand why they can't do a minor update for in-race saves, so i can finally finish the enduro's. gosh!

GOSH!

It's been a good while since V1.09. Maybe they're doing someting BIG. Like new tracks or at least in-race saves.

FIA GT, oh god please put it in! Apparently work was being done on it before GT5 went on sale so they should've finished it by now....

I think it probably won't be too major...maybe those in-race saves like promised & perhaps maybe even another new CHROME paint chip, but not much more.

I'm just hoping that there's WAY more in that update. Its been a long time since an update that put anything new into the game. They have some very skilled programmers, shouldn't take that long.

Depends. PD has really made some pretty stupid decisions. Especially with the gift car restriction, and lowering the prize money for some races (that encourages grinding even more). I just hope that PD will finally listen to the community and make a groundbreaking update. But a part of me says that PD will disappoint us with the next update...

I'm want it to be a huge update with those 25 new track but I'm not getting my hopes up. It's likely to be a minor update, fixing bugs and what not.

What's the name of the song anyways

Baby (Breakbot Remix), by Pnau. The remix isn't on iTunes though.

Not expecting much from a 1.1 update. There's still lots of bugs to be fixed--tire wear in general, slicks being just as grippy on a wet track, B-spec issues, etc.

As I see it, there has definitely been enough time for them to add some major content. And as far as things go, if there were a time for new premium cars, it would be this update considering the game will be around six months old. Six months being the estimated time it takes to make a premium car. Tracks are not out of the question either for this update. In an E3 trailer last year, a seemingly well developed El Capitan was shown. They may have been working on some of the tracks for DLC as the game was released. Anything is possible on this update, but if there was one thing that I would love added, it would be either an auction house, or a secure trading system. Either one would be a step up from the limited gifting and borrowing system in use now.

What is the point of having amassed all these cars when all I can do is race a handful of them in the few "races" PD is drip-feeding me or go online and have to jump through hoops for 30+min just to get a proper race set up? :banghead:

Seriously.

Custom A-Spec or bust.

Updated standard cars or bust. Seven months is much too long for there not to be. Kaz told us, not one month, after the release of GT5.

AND, they have to let us choose during what time of day we want to race for the tracks with time-change.

The Course Maker tracks that allow for time to be set, also have time-change. So, why can't they let you choose any time during the 24 hours of a day?

whats really annoying is they wont provide a map pack.... for example halo provides updates with new maps.... why not new circuits? ( Australian gp circuit, long beach gp street track )

This ain't fuggin halo. They spend time on getting the exact specifications of a track.... everybump every distance marker everything..... it's said they take a year on each track alone.

Maybe....however upscaling existing tracks can't take near as long.

Tru that, unless they went and remade all (real)tracks. But I'm unaware of their process. It just seems we are at where we are at, and there has to be reason for that.
