I couldn’t find a poll (most people probably don’t care ;)), but I would be willing to pay for the add-on and if there was enough interest it might be a possibility in the future. I don’t think it will ever be added for free :(

It’s a personal opinion, but I can’t understand why this was dropped from gt5. Even if it’s just for tuning purposes and was offline only I can’t see why it would be a negative.

I probably wouldn't download a drag strip DLC for free, let alone pay for it. You couldn't pay me to enjoy drag racing, and I couldn't possibly care any less about it. I don't see me using it even if it was offered as free content.

I would not pay 15 dollars for a quarter mile anything. I like drag racing, and the Infield straight at Indianapolis Road Course is perfect for a quarter mile run.

I probably wouldn't download for free either. You're not gonna use it in an online lobby, so why bother.

I would pay 5 dollars for Charlotte Motor Speedway, though.

I love drag racing (I am King) but the Indy Road Course works well enough with ghost trees.. Would not pay for it, but would use it if its free DLC.

I'm not in to drag racing so i wouldn't buy it, but i know lot of people do so the addition would be welcome.

Well there is much more support than I was expecting. If 25% of players paid for it there is a chance polyphony would create it :)

Just to clarify, this would be a proper track with race options. A timed run with terminal speed, variable distances and the option of disabling auto transmission etc.

The addition would be interesting as a game mode, I don't think I'd pay for it specifically though.

I would pay if it was a full feature 2 lane strip with leaderboards per car and online head to head, possibly a tournament for A spec too. Also throw in some premium famous drag cars from around the world.

Shouldn't have to pay... gt4 had a drag strip, they could just use that no??
but if they did bring it out at a cost, i wouldn't want to pay for it.. but would.

Or the airstrip near the Red Bull Hangar. 👍

A trailer involved 2 LMP's running there.

if drag strip dlc have many features,

e.g.
Time recorded for online views for 400meters or 1000meters, but recorded in each of its "class" of cars (FF, RWD or AWD) or many more "class" (hp, weight, like normal online racing)

have a bit of tire warm up stage, before the drag race...

Maybe... just maybe... some players will buy it, but for me i still preferred it to be free dlc.....

...if only 👍

They had 0-400m and 0-1000m tests in previous GTs. They lacked false starts, detailed speed/time data and other things, but with some modifications they could have been easily been made into proper drag racing events/races. Why should we pay for something that got removed for unknown reasons?

As part of a larger update package, yes I'd pay for it. I don't think it's a big enough feature to pay for on it's own. Be great if it had the full tree, false starts, leaderboards, eliminations etc., and you could organize qualifying and a full race day but I doubt you'll see that. If you get it, it'll be some bastardized version that has 10% of what you want and 90% frustration...lol.

I'd really enjoy this, especially for benchmarking cars before/after tuning. Speaking of which, how about a full test track where we can test our cars on a skidpad, slalom, drag strip, and braking course? It would be great to be able to compile this data and see a list of the top performing cars in each area. Also, the test data could be shown in our garage with the other specs.

Yes! Yes! 1000x yes! It would have to be legit though, tire warming, a real tree, reaction times, 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time/trap speed etc. But if they did it all right, I'd probably pay $20.

I know this thread is over a year old but I couldn't help myself. This guy hit the nail on the head with his prediction of what sort of drag strip/drag racing we'd get if pd released it.👍

I'd also gladly pay atleast 10$ for a legitimate drag track! :)

Here's a subliminal message to PD.
