I thought this was cool. I found this site called http://terraserver-usa.com/default.aspx. It's photos taken by a satellite in space. Unfortunatly they were taken waaaay back in 1994. The pictures I've posted are of my house and my highschool (in Greenville, South Carolina), but you can just as easily find your own house. Just use the search function and you can either narrow it down to your town or your street. Sorry for the people who live in Canada, Europe, or most of Alaska, there's no pictures for you. But feel free to check out the famous places section or just type in the name of any old town and see what it looks like.

I thought it was cool but you may not. Bah, who cares, just give it a look.

Here's the highschool first. It's the big building with the four prongs (those are hallways!! ). The only difference I can tell is that now there's a strip mall across the street with a Bi-Lo in it and a couple other stores instead of that other building (don't know what is used to be).

My house is the one circled in red. At least I think it is. It's Kinda hard to tell. I was trying to picture the street in my head but I got confused because it looks like some of the houses are blocked by trees but I think I got it right.

Meh, I don't give a damn. As I say I made mine a while ago so a lot of newer members won't know if this - moderators might feel differently, but I don't mind it.

Meh. Something like this is fair enough - pretty obscure. Something obvious, like 'How do I get the Diablo' - that deserves a smack.

Dang, my house isn't on the map...
I found mine on mapquest, but cannot link it here for whatever reason...

ahh here we go... ok if you look at the curve from the center of the map then to northwest from there and theres my house

This will be very helpful when I go crazy and decide to kill everyone. I will already know where you live...Providing of course I'm in a plane. Yeah!.....a plane could work for killing people.

Ahh! my house issant on there... so I made it on there :) The red lines are the new roads, and the lime green square is my house (my house issant lime green, well it is on the picture...but not really.) the other thing that I tried (failed) to spell is the old haunted barn on the side of the road :) its VERY multicolored :) paintball guns are awesome! :) The orange square is the old people place...where they mooch off of the city for food, and teh blue square is the donut shop :) I think they put the donut shop there to keep people from shooting the barn :)

My apartment is also not on here - it's in a group of four and none of them made the ten-year-old picture... where ARE these USGS cameras!? Come on - update!!

GetImageArea.ashx

Did you make that little red dot? because it was in someone elses photo and the dots are the same... or is your apartment in the middle of a busy street?

The USGS camera makes it because sometimes the pictures are pretty crowded. Assumably my apartment is to either side of the street, it's just showing the literal street address.
