Uhh...what about Ferrari not winning that much?

Oh yeah, the R33 GTR set the new record at Nuburgring Nordschliefe, not the R32...;)
Plus that was back in, let's see, 1993-1994? Before the McLaren F1, Ferrari F50, etc...:p

I like that site.

16 overall wins at Le Mans for Porsche, more than anyone else. Formula 1 doesn't mean anything anymore, but Ford has got Ferrari covered in wins, in case you're wondering.

The actual production car lap record at the 'Ring is held by, surprise, the Porsche 911 GT2, at 7:50. Fastest road car time was set by the Gemballa GTR600 (a 600hp 911) at 7:32. No Ferrari's in sight.

Damn you!

Ok, fine, Porsche is better... :p

But I was just comparing the Ferraris to the Skylines, not to Porsches...;)

Have a look at the following site for Nurburgring lap times.

http://www.nordschleife.no/

It's very up to date, for example it does include the currect road car record holder, Radical SR3T with a time of 7mins 19 secs.

Please be aware that the circuit has changed layout and length over the years and the track length is posted with each time. The currect track is 20.832 km, this is the road circuit that the public can pay to use.

BTW, found times for stock Skyline and NSX.

Skyline - 8.281
NSX - 8.338

Both very impresive times, when you consider anything getting close to 8 mins it to be considered very, very fast. Under 8 and you are into stupidly fast with a madman at the wheel.

it said that the skyline was modified... is it... or did they just didnt know... im looking for stock times....

Newest NSX-R stands at 7.56, with Motoharu Kurosawa behind the wheel (aka Gan San from the Best Motoring videos.) Only 6 seconds off the 911 GT2's time.

What is this? It appears to have a Porsche badge on the hood, and looks like Porsche styling as well. But I don't know what it is.

Keep looking, quite a few Skyline times are posted, the one I use for stock is the time I quoted, it was driven by a writer from Autocar magazine.

Well according to BestCar Magazines July 10th Issue, the NSX-R did the ring in 7 mins and 59 seconds......

The NSX-R with the C30 engine, not the C32 ran the ring in 8 mins and 32 seconds, back in 1993. That was the last time anyone officially tested a NSX-R other than the 7,59 run.

Times are always different everywhere you look. They need an official times page.

Quite agree, a listing of official times for the Nurburgring would be excellent. The site I posted is about the best I've come across (if amone knows a better one please let me know ASAP), mainly because they put the circuit length with the time which at least allows like for like comparisons, additionally the times that I have been able to check with other sources I have been able to confirm.
