Hmmmmm......i just "test drove" a viper GTS......and these things handle so well!! I always thought that the superbly long hood will make it head heavy and impair handling.....but after driving it through grand valley speedway i am a viper lover now. I fell in love with that machine!!! sounds so nice and handles so great. Just wanted everyone to go and drive it.

You're awesome, and the viper's awesome too. But... c'mon did you really have to make a new thread? I know the GT2 boards aren't bearly as strict as GT4, but still, some of the quality stuff I answered has been pushed back to page...like 3. Do we really need a different thread for 'gt90' or 'wow viper'? I'm sure you know all this, so what the heck?

Anyways, the Viper's a pretty damn quick auto, and not as difficult to control as it's made out to be (at least in stock form). Newbs may have difficulty with FR on tracks like Autumn or Deep Forest, but I admire the Viper for what it is - one heck of a performance coupe, even on a Le Mans level. 👍

This doesn't have to be a usless thread. We just have to change it to (for example) "What car you thought had bad handling unitl you tried it and you saw it was a good car?" :D

If we do change this thread to that, then I'll say that the car that I thought would have terrible handling would have to be the 'Cuda. I got it for the Drag tournament and it turned out to be a very good racing car.

It surprises me that you're a Corvette lover but never got into a Viper till now!

I been a Viper fan since the first game. Me and my former housemate used to race Viper vs. Skyline all the time. It's one of the few cars that will win the World Cup, Tuned Race and Normal (or Abnormal, as SportWagon likes to call it). series in GT1. If you ever go back to the first game, try racing one but switch to the in-cockpit mode. The sound of the 10 cylinders & valves working away is so much better than the soundbyte they took in GT2.

Hey! :D My ears are burning! :trouble:

Er, actually, I call the Tuned Race the Abnormal Series, to contrast it with the Normal Series. A 900hp Skyline with no aero mods does sound pretty abnormal to me.
