Wow! Actually looks to be well modelled aswell.
I still hate DLC being announced months before release... At least it comes with 10x the content a CM game comes with at release.

Few new screens on the Greekfans facebook.

It says Day 1 DLC I hope it isn't on the disc to start with:indiff:
Probably will be - wasn't that the case with WRC1 and the Group B cars?

I'm not really a fan of the pre-release announcements for DLC either - but it's what BB/Milestone have done for each WRC release so far. At least though their DLC has been good for WRC2 - except for the Rally Africa track seems to have vanished completely from the PlayStation Store...

I do have the seven Tokyo stages though 👍 they're fun.

That Minin Cooper S is actually a pre-order bonus as well as DLC.

Luisa Bixio, Milestone’s Sales and Marketing director:

“We are excited to announce the presence of one of the most loved cars into WRC 3. The reason we chose this specific car stems from our monitoring of the communities. From which we’ve noticed that the Classic Mini cooper S 64 was one of the most requested cars. Furthermore, we would like to offer our fans a 360° rally experience, that mixes classic and modern elements”

It'll be €1,99 on PSN and 160 Microsoft points on Xbox - or free if you pre-order - well, that'll be me then.

I'm thinking with the Monte Carlo Rally having returned to the WRC we'll probably get a WRC Monte Carlo class or something along those lines... it would make sense with the Mini license as well, maybe Alpine A3110, Lancia Fulvia and Stratos, and of course the Quattro as well?

I approve of this DLC :D

Appears I am half right... I see Alpine and Lancia in future DLC... maybe Saab as well?

Which will save you the two Euro :)

One thing I do notice hasn't been talked about much: with the new game engine capacity, I'm hoping that the tuning options will include more than ten slots - that was quite frustrating, plus the edit function for those save slots didn't always work.

WRC2 was more intuitive and visually improved regarding the menu - here's hoping that trend also improves with the advent of more capacity available in the new game engine.

All the latest screenshots and videos are looking really good, haven't owned a true rally game since CMR 2005 (mainly because there haven't been many) and now i'm desperate to play this.

Roll on october!!

I really don't like the look of the models; they just don't look up to snuff with current-gen 3d models these days. I just hope they make use of motion blur or more dramatic lighting to cover that up.

Then you'll defintely want to steer clear of 1 and 2 :sly: Black Bean is a very small studio though without the resources of Codemasters or PD or Turn 10.

Seriously, the car modelling is something that even in the first two games faded out of significance as the rallying was good fun. Three by all acounts will handle even better.

For me, it is a vast improvement and I know that any irritations I might find visually, will fade int insignificance.

I didn't think the models in 2 were al that bad. Considering the size of the company etc I think they did quite well.

EU demo coming soon. Announcement from Milestone tomorrow. One worth trying out, especially as hopes are resting on 3 to be good, and will be the proving ground.

You probably can, I used to get US and Japanese demos back when the UK store was a complete joke in comparison... Then my old PS3 YLOD'd so I haven't tried in a while, but I'm sure it'll still work.

WRC 3 Demo will be available on 11th September on XBOX LIVE and on 12th on PlayStation Network in Europe. Here's to hoping I can try it on my Euro account on PSN, If I can I'll let the thread know, for the US members

Great to see a demo is coming soon 👍

Not for PC but I can use the PS3 demo version for evaluation anyway.

Indeed, it's unlikely to be more than a direct port anyway. Here's hoping it'll have H-shifter support for the older machines!

Ill be getting the download..this does look like a good game..but its still more of a rental for me..

Just in via the facebook page:

WRC the Game

Hi All, we're working on a WRC 3 - PC DEMO. We will release more info in the next weeks!!

Good on 'em - they didn't do a PC one for the first game which is the only one to get ad emo before - so they are definitely listening and communicating.

Sweet! can't wait to try it out.

They must have confidence that it's good since they haven't released a demo since the first WRC and that put me off the game, looking a hell of a lot better this time round tho.

I just read the release date is October 12th so I thought I would check with local retailers (online) and I can't find it listed anywhere, any idea where it is available? Even the WRC website hasn't got any "where to buy" listings yet.

Good to know a demo is on the way. I'll be sure to download it when it arrives in the Store. I loved the first two games, so I can't see why I won't like this one. I'm easily pleased. :D
