ok, its got the same desing layout as the wrc focus and was featured go colin mcrae rally 03, now my question is: was it used for hauling stuff, demo vehicle or actually used in competition?
I'd say hauling stuff, but that's just my semi-uneducated opinion, especially with the word "transit" in the name. I couldn't see that actually being used in competition.
The WRC transit served no purpose other that allowing the team to show what they could do. It featured heavelly in the motoring press and TV here in the UK.
At best it was a marketing and publicity exercise, seeing that it managed to raise a thread all of its own here then I guess they managed that.
Yep, it was a marketing exercise, just like the Renault Espace F1 was. Top Gear had the Stig drive that Transit around their test track. All i'll say is I'm glad it was me driving that thing fast!
