This happended to me on the Nurb, forgot what race :( Kind of funny , EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ( but me) WENT OFF THE TRACK . It's at the 70 degress turn with the sand on the right hand side.

I was playing around in 'free practice' on the Circuit de la Sarthe 2 with my 700 hp R32 GT-R and at the end of the Hunduras (sp) straight i came apon a TVR Speed 12, Mercedes SLR, Tommy Kaira ZZII, Cadillac Cien and Volkswagen W12 all in different places in the sand trap. Most of them (Speed 12 always) ended up in there on each lap - very funny.

And if you follow the Speed 12 around the 'Ring for a while you're undoubtedly going to see him spin at least once a lap. :D

What compells someone to call this a bug? It's not a bug. Are you telling me you've never watched a 5 car crash before in real-life? I've seen worse.

Yeah but in real life 4 cars don't follow one car going off track, like a train. They call it target fixation, and I'm sure it has happened, but mostly not... and especially not with the gaps between them that the AI normally has. That fourth or fifth car usually slows down to not go off track, not think that the lead car has found a shortcut through the infield.

Ok, I finally went back and watched my replay, with 'SELECT' button ready to fire. Unfortunately there's no good way to get them all in the frame together. It was an RX-7 RZ, RX-7 RS, and an RX-8. I ducked through them in my S2000 as they all scrambled for the pit. I may try again tonight. The problem is I don't have a USB device that works with GT4, and the 'incedent' is about 50 minutes into a race.

agh, A.I stupidity, theres nothing better then watching a computer fall on its face. As for A.I cars everywhere... ive never seen that before, and id love to see some pics on it. I remember there was this one time i was in a Cizetta (ARGH~! craptown, population that car.) and seeing it doesnt turn at all, i thought that id make my time up on teh straights and just hammer into the back of the A.i as to push them off the track, and slow me down for the corner... Well it worked for a few corners, until i ran out of A.I cars to run into, then i was out in the lead go as slow as hell, and all of a sudden WAM~! the a.i rammed me off the track.... if i didnt laugh i would have cried..

Are they programed to have revenge? or is this just bad timing?.. theres nothing more frustrating then being rammed off the track by a A.I whos being a poon.

I don't think I've seen a pileup yet, but I can remember how in GT3 on Laguna Seca, when there's an AI Cobra on course, it would always spin out and go to the wall (or close) on the last turn of the track (90degrees).
Pics, or better yet, a video of this (from anyone) would be great.

I have never seen or thought of that before in my playing experience of GT4. I would like to see that happen. Get a USB stick...their only like 20$ and u can put many GT4 pics on them...

HAHAHAH yeah, it happen to me a lot... it's sucks! Why PD make this AI so stupid so i can win easier.......... By the way I'm driving this F1 Yellow and Black... and won by 18 laps... 👎 :yuck:

So...... what do u think?

I think you should get some shots of the AI in the Formula GT Series at La Sarthe. Man if THAT isn't comedy I don't know what is.

They crash every straight. Drag them, get in front of them and move to let them drag you. It'll take about 3 seconds before they randomly swerve into the barriers. I started on the straight in 6th, 5 seconds down and passed 3 cars before the first Playstation Chicane...

I knew I should have saved my replay from Formula GT at Laguna Seca. They wreck in the turn just after the corkscrew every time. I was B-specing it (No S yet) and I noticed he woudl slow down in that section as he passed the AI cars, so I went back in to race view and Ai cars would be wrecking on all side of the track and he would slow down to weave through them in the dust cloud. Unfortunately he would occasionally wreck there too unless I kept him on 1 or 2.

I had the same sort of thing (first chicane right?). It was with JGTC (or similar, i can't remember) cars. One got out onto the sand, there may have been some argy bargy, and spun infront of the pack. It wasn't cars EVERYWHERE, but in real life all the cars would have looked a bit seccond hand

Yea it happened to me at the driving park I think. The first place guy was about 1 sec. in front of me and coming of the turn he slid through the dirt and slid into the pit. I know he didn't mean to do it because it was the first lap.

Yeah, I've had this on Motorland. On the fast corner, if the AI have rubbish tyres, they'll just skid off into the dirt and then into the pits. I'll try to get some pics.

I have never seen a 5 car pile up but I have seen like 3 go off the course at once. The funniest crash type incidident I ever seen was the Capri (costa di Amalfi) special condition rally against... I think it was a renault turbo. I was doing about a 180ish point race so keeping ahead was difficult. I was barely ahead of the renault in the first hairpin. I have no idea what happened as I don't remember bumping him or anything. I just noticed that the map icon of the computer was stuck in the same place. I thought it was a glitch or something and kept checking my rear view. Well lap 2 I come up to the hairpin and see him going reverse... bang into the wall, forward, bang into the wall, reverse, forward etc. Just stuck there in an eternal loop. After looking at the dummy for a little while laughing, I didnt have the heart to leave it there so I bumped it back on course and the AI drove like nothing ever happened.

I have seen this type of behavior in other courses too but not to this extent. I bumped into a car on the GTC on Suzuka right before the last straight away. Well it must have made them retarded because after they were stopped, they drove the car right into the nearby wall, then back up with the wheel turned all the way to bump into the wall again, then they proceeded to do it again before finally going back on the track. I was really far ahead so I didnt mind watching the stupidity :P

I have also seen my B-spec bob slam into the wall dividing the track and pit entrance at Infineon. Went from about 180mph to zero instantly.

I agree with the people here, we need more pics or videos of these things happening...I got a kick out the F1 pics though

Wow, how strange... the EXACT same thing has happened to me before. Same track, same event, same opponent, same hairpin, same lap. It was funny as i noticed the opponent had stopped. On the second lap i hit him and i finished the race. He was still at the hairpin when i won. I watched the replay and he was reversing, hitting the wall and reversing hitting the wall above... then repeat. Strange eh?

This is a well-known occurence in the Gran Tursimo series.

Put simply, this in the hands of the AI and Kazunori Yamauchi is well aware and is working on changing this for the PS3:tup:

But yes, you do get a laugh out of it but enjoy it while you can...

I Have Pics On My Other Comp I'll Post 2moro
(Its 4 Or 5 Cars All In The Sand On Porsche Corner)

Can you enter the F1 series with LMP cars too? That would be a way to gain 200 points:lol: Just drive in front of them, let them wreck and voila, you win the race all by yourself:lol:

If you go to the Supercar festival and you passed some cars in the first lap of the New York race, you have something to worry bout cause they just kamikaze right into you at the straight after the first 180% corner.
And we're already requesting damage for GT5?!

Also it's pretty funny if you can oversteer through corners with more speed than you could race. You need to be good at it, but a while back when I was practicing this during a race on motegi, somehow the cars wanted to go through the corners as fast as you, but offcourse just skid off the track.
