Surprised no one has brought up the EVO X.
Surprised no one has brought up the EVO X.
Update inbound! Still looking, so I didn't feel like updating this thread, but I will anyways. And and and....?
That's the truth. I really like the Evos and I did consider an Evo X, but when it came down to it I want an STI far more.If you want a STi, then you want a STi. If you want an Evo, then you want an Evo. There usually isn't much in between.![]()
I looked at the R32 and even the new Golf R. The Mk4 R32s are pretty hard to find. I don't really like the way they look, and they are way too similar to the GTI I used to have. I'm ready to change. The Mk5 R32s don't come with the conventional manual so that's not something I'd get. And the new Golf Rs are, like the new STIs, just too expensive.Have you considered a VW R32?
You got AWD.
You got German engineering.
You got a car that was over $30K new, and not as popular with the tuner crowd.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
Another option that doesn't/didn't get any tuner love, so the prices are low, the 2006-2007 Mazdaspeed6.
280 HP, 6-Speed Manual, AWD, Looks like mom's grocery getter....
It's a Cold-Air Intake, motor mount, and short shifter away from being one of the best cars I've ever driven.
SPhilli911I might be a tad bit picky. I want to buy the right car, not something that will end up costing me a fortune because I decided to grab the first STI to come up for sale.
Did they make the model year 2006/7 in red? With the blue seats I think that would look funky.![]()
