The race will be started at 11:00AM GMT and will last six hours, leaving the room to close at just after 5PM GMT. There will be replay watching and extensive post-race scrutineering. (if there are two races)
On Race Day, the room will open at 10:30AM GMT for Group One (the first 15 drivers selected, or stated otherwise) to take part in a pre-race practice qualifier session lasting half an hour. The race will be started at 11AM GMT and will last three hours, leaving the room to close at just after 2PM GMT.
ROOM COMMENT: ADAC 6HR NURB [G1]
The second will be opened for Group Two (the remaining drivers) at roughly 2:30PM GMT for drivers to take part in a pre-race practice qualifier lasting half an hour. The race will start at 3PM GMT and will last for three hours, leaving the room to close at shortly after 6PM GMT.
ROOM COMMENT: ADAC 6HR NURB [G2]
There will be replay watching and extensive post-race scrutineering. The race results will be posted on the thread within 72 hours of the second room closing.
In motor sport, there are rules put in place to keep the racing clean, fun, organised and under control. Some rules applying to motor sport will be applied to this event.
No extreme corner cutting - every driver cuts at least one corner by mistake, but if there is a driver that completely misses out the corner through an unjust reason, they will face a time penalty and be forced to hand that position back if they gained any.
No bumping - friendly bumping is part of racing, which is acceptable, but when a driver starts to interfere with a competitors race by deliberately bumping them off the circuit to gain positions, they will be forced to hand that place back and will receive a time penalty.
No rubbing - fair enough if you've accidentally missed a braking zone and you rub against another competitor, but deliberately doing it to turn corners is unacceptable and will be punishable by a time penalty.
No abusive language or behaviour - if any driver experiences an incident which angers or disappoints them, they are not to start hurling abuse to the other driver (who may have accidentally caused the incident), they will be punished with a hefty time penalty and/or a ban.
No rage quitting - if you are fed up or annoyed at having difficulties and want to quit, pull over to a safe place at a safe distance away from the circuit. Type "retired" in chat and you will allowed to leave the room. This is so stewards/officials (and maybe fellow competitors) can know who has left the event. Any driver that does this will be classified as a "DNF" (did not finish) on the race results.
Lapping - when you come across a slower car, don't attempt to race past them at every chance, wait until there is enough space to get through or if they move over.
Being lapped - when you're going to be lapped, just maintain your pace and when you can move off of the racing line to let the faster driver through. This was there is no conflict and the race is still under control.
Green flag
The green flag will be issued at the race start and after a safety period (yellow flag) or a red flag.
Yellow flag
The yellow flag will be issued if there is an incident on circuit affecting the race. For example, if a driver spins off the circuit and hits the wall, obtains damage and stops on circuit, the yellow flag will be issued in that area for drivers to take caution in that zone.
Red flag
The red flag will only be issued if multiple drivers are involved in a serious incident, heavily damaging their cars. For example, if someone makes a mistake and the car behind stops and the cars behind him slam into the back of him, causing a multi-car wreck, the red flag will be issued and the race will be stopped, the drivers who aren't involved can drive around the circuit and stop on the front straight (NO OVERTAKING) in their current positions, while the drivers involved can 'limp' back round the the pits and get repaired and drive around the circuit to the back of the field on the front straight. There will be a standing re-start.
Black&white diagonal flag
The black and white flag will be issued to offending drivers as a warning for their actions, this will primarily be awarded to a driver who corner cuts extensively.
Black flag
The black flag will be issued to an offending driver who has offended more than once, or has offended a serious rule. Once a driver has been black flagged, they are to return to the pits and exit the race. They are permitted to stay in the room and watch the race.
Black&white chequered flag
The black and white chequered flag will be issued once the time has counted to 0 and the leader crosses the finish line, marking the end of the race.
D/C - if any driver experiences a disconnection and cannot rejoin the room, they will be classified as a "DNF" (did not finish) on the race results.
Glitching - if any driver suffers a glitch in their gameplay and is unable to continue as of that moment, they are to stop as close to the wall as they can immediately and type "glitch" in the chat box. This will let the stewards/officials know that a driver has experienced gameplay difficulties and may be able to restart the race (changing the settings to how much time was remaining).
