WRX Crash

A used one shouldn't be that much, I'm thinking somewhere like a '99-01 5 Series. I'm not sure how much if would be in the US, but in Canada you can get it for like $22,000-$36,000 depending on the options.
 
Well, went to the Subaru/Mazda/Porsche/Pontiac dealer this weekend. Ended up driving away in a brand-new 2004 Mazda 6i. 2.3L 4-banger, sport appearance package, 4-speed auto with sport shifting (gimmicky). It's no WRX, but it gets me and the kids around.

While we were there, the wife convinced me that she needed a new car too. So, we traded her old Neon in for a 2005 Subaru Legacy. My goodness those are nice!

Nope, just the 2.5i. Still - very nice car for the price. The dealership did a great job of making us a deal with the two cars.

I cannot believe your friend was so incredibly stupid that he tried to race with 4 other people in the car. I hope he got his license taken away for a looong time. Well, actually, I can believe it; I just don't want to.

Find $5,000 more, and I'll give you my 500hp '03 Cobra. I'll even slap in a roll cage, and some 5-point harnesses, so you can go crazy with her doin' flips & ****.:p It'll give you that boost fix Goomba is talking about - 14+ pounds of it. Oh, did I mention it's a great family car?:lol:

Seriously, though, sorry to hear about the car, Alt. I know how much you loved it. I'm glad you and your buddy made it out just fine. Good luck in your search for a new car. -Josh

What are you talking about? WRX's are beasts from a roll! That turbo does start to taper at the end.... but man... yeahh... Did I also mention 4th gear sucks ass? Er, kicks... :) Welll hey, slightly modded WRXs can take stock TT Supras in the quarter mile times... I think.

I hate you. I hate your ex-car. And I hate it's 14+ lbs of boost.

PS. He got a Mazda 6 and Legacy 2.5i.
