You've got Orama on there twice. ;)

I'll most likely be in the Corvette, but I'll have an Alfa on standby if the GT field becomes depleted at the last moment, like it was at Goodwood.

Round 7 - 14 July
Triple Crown Race 3

Spa Sportscar Grand Prix
POSTER07SpaFcopy_zps666ba15f.gif

Spa Francorchamps
56 Laps / 244 Miles

It honestly doesn't seem long since this season started at Daytona. Now we get to Spa, which traditionally means the curtain is closing on the season. It's a finale, but by no stretch of an imagination an easy one. In fact, quite the opposite could be said.

Spa. 4+ miles of roads cutting through the Ardennes. One of the greatest sportscar tracks, no, one of the greatest tracks period, on the planet. And it's now a Triple Crown race. 36 laps has now become 56, a true test of man and machine. A near full grid is expected for the final event of the WSC. We say goodbye to the Alfa Romeo TZ2 this week as well.

Just 1 thing has to be taken into particular consideration at Spa... The Ardennes region frequently has rain showers. And when it rains, the whole track will know about it. Man versus machine versus the elements. There really no better way to end the 4th chapter of the World Sportscar Championship.

Furi's Race Control Statement To Drivers:
A few things to mention. Firstly the tyre usage rules. Spa has a very high chance of rain, and if in any case the track surface water ticks over to 51% or over during the race (pace lap included), then the two tyre soft/medium (PT) or medium/hard (ST,GT) rule is automatically voided. Remember intermediates are not permitted, but full wets are. 14 laps required on harder tyre if it stays dry.

Pace speed 60mph in dry, may be adjusted to 50mph if the track is wet. Green flag on Lap 1 will be on the Sportscar Straight, between La Source and Eau Rouge - field forms up on the start / finish line at the end of the full pace lap. Finish line is the normal position.

Best of luck to all, just please clear cache before we begin ;)

Weather will be updated at room opening, quali start, and end of quali just before pace lap.

We do have another driver, my snooker teammate  , Jamsy will join us in an AC Cobra tonight.

EDIT: IF HIS INTERNET SPEEDS UP!

For goodness sake, exactly the same as yesterday, was really enjoying the race just like in GTE, and at pretty much the same time with my connection seemingly fine, it DCs me from out of nowhere :grumpy:

When the AI gets your car sideways out of the pits you know its going to be a bad night. Decent start, catching the three Jaguars. Hit the brakes on lap 3 at La Source and... nothing. Crunched the Jaguar of Plux and lost a lost of time. So medium tyre stint, all ok. But car felt weird. Yeah, 1 second a lap quicker than Plux on mediums... but just no feeling, no response.

Crash crash crash. So I though, "keep clean" but car honestly wouldn't steer, and then over steered massively under power. Had a major slide around ORama at Pouhon, and at Blanchimont. By this stage I was probably just not with it to compound matters.

So I wreck all time. 3 minute laps, just great! 1 of them included catching grass and Sakery. So 🤬 sorry man, you have every right to be angry after that happened. Then I got a wheel on grass coming into Blanchimont. BANG crash. SO I drive off... and Panoz. 🤬 FIRST RULE OF RACING IS DO NOT TAKE OUT YOUR TEAM-MATE. AND I DID. Shocking. Just gave up after that.

Honestly, tonight more 🤬 ups from me than the last 8 months from me. If ya angry, just let it flow out.

Furi out.

Even with the hiccup at Spa with Furi, had a great season for my first season in WSC. Be coming back next season. 👍
