I'm trying to download all sorts of drifting videos and i get a rapid-share page, scroll down and click "free" to download the video. then it says:

You have requested 25566 KB in one hour. If you request a file and get a download-link, your download-counter is increased immediately.
This is neccessary in order to give you fully-compatible and anonymous download-links without strong restrictions.
In order to finance this webspace, downloads are limited for free-users. This file exceeds your download-limit. Please wait one hour or support us by getting a PREMIUM-Account.

Did everyone who downloaded this have to wait an hour?

THis is not rapidshareforums.com.

E-mail them.

From what I make of your issue, you downloaded too much in too little time.

That is a common problem with that service. If you download the movie, and lose it halfway through, you're screwed and have to wait sometimes more than an hour to download it.

[edit]Lando is right. That isn't rapidshare. It is another similar site, that a few here have used.

If you can't contribute or help in any way, don't waste your precious time.

Anyway, its rapidshare.de that i'm linked to. I didn't think I even downloaded anything before?

ok... Did you read the site FAQ?

http://rapidshare.de/en/faq.html

That might help.

Our system checks your IP-address in order to count the downloads. If you are getting this message and you really did not download anything, then you are using a proxy-server, which is used by other people as well. Even if you have no proxy-server set up in your configuration, there are providers who put transparent proxy-servers between you and the net. Even if you are completely sure that you have no proxy-server attached, you are wrong. Compare the IP-address of the error-message with your real internet-IP. Those will differ. We only see your Proxy-IP. But what can you do? You have to disable this proxy-server. If you are not able to disable the proxy-server, we can only suggest you to get a Premium-account.

So, again, you're screwed. It's your ISP that is causing it.

err... why is this in the drifting forums? and why so hostile towards lando? he pointed you in the right direction, and pointed out your mistake. Again, if you took the time to do some research on your own, you would've found the answer rather quickly considering it tells you so right at the bottom of your own post :) Have a nice day
