I'm a bit skeptical on this one. While I doubt Bruce would try to ruin the franchise intentionally, there are a number of things I'm worried about:
  1. Mac ad guy is no Samuel L. Jackson. Hell, Mac ad guy isn't even a Reginald VelJohnson.
  2. Its rated PG-13 (Bruce said that the only difference is less F-bombs, but that was a charming, integral piece of the originals. Is McClane literally going to say "Yippee-Kai-Aye, Mr. Falcon" in this one?)
  3. It looks like it is transcending from "gritty, somewhat realistic action/adventure movie" to "silly action movie from the 80's," with the scene with the car rolling over McClane looking like something that would fit right in with generic junk like Commando.
  4. More CGI, less real stuff.
All that being said, I'm still going to go see it on Friday.

I saw it tonight, and I thought it was just as good as the first one. (First was a bit better thanks to its plot.) And it def. didn't need F-Bombs to be funny. It was FULL of one-liners.

Of course, the Mother F....er would have definately made it apart of its predecessors, it was still awesome. Had quite a few unrealistic parts, but all of them were great.

Bruce did a fantastic job reprising his role as John Mc. Def. an awesome movie.

All you need to know about this movie, you can see in the trailers. No need to actually spend money to watch it.

Going to see it Wednesday with a bunch of mates. Perhaps we should do a best dressed competition

Except you can't even carry toy-guns-that-look-like-a-real-gun-from-a-gazillion-miles-away guns anymore. :odd:

At the very least, I will be seeing it after Transformers, however Rattatoulie (however the hell you spell it) will be up for a run as well.

Um, no? Try actually seeing it. It's def. worth watching. I've seen it twice now.

Aww crap. The whole reason I wanted to watch it was to see the F-35C do its thing. Oh well, Im sure that clip will be on the internet soon enough.

Just go see it. It's totally worth the price. Lots of great one-liners as I said.

Just to clairfy, does he not say "Yippee-Kai-Aye Muther !@:?$*"?

If yes, do they sort of just drown out the explicit with an explosion or just not even go near it?

He says Yippie-Ki-Yay, but due to PG13 ratings, not mother ****er like you could see in early commercials. In all honesty, that phrase seemed to be the only thing that made the show PG-13.

And? He listed that as one of the things he was worried about, ie he listed it as a negative.

I just went to see this tonight, it was very enjoyable. Completely over the top, but enjoyable, unlike say, The Transporter 2, which was over the top and not that watchable as a result imo. There was some brilliant lines in it as well. But at the end of the day, it's nothing more than a mindless action flick. As entertainment though, it was good enough.

I just watched it today and it has to go up as one of my favorite movies. It's definitely the best movie of '07 for me, pretty much the equivalent of what Batman Begins was for 2005.
