Are the prices too cheap? Is the series too long, the race time bad, the point system bad?

Any advice to make the series more attractive?

Only 12 days left :)

Of course I let you in :)

Hope we will get 16 racers :)

Personally I would be in but 2 races over a months time just doesnt cut it for me I guess. I would race a 4 night series or something 4 straight weekdays or something of that nature. Soon as warm weather hits I go back outside to race for real lol

Count me in. tentatively. Time should be ok. I'll know better the closer the race day comes. A few questions; will the races be moderated? how will bad/ unsporting behaviour be addressed?

Other than that, any opertunity to learn more about tuning is welcome as im terrible at it!:)

Just a suggestion. I wouldn't have races so widely spread out. People will forget easily.

Its a good point, but having them spread out has its advantages too. People who have a busy lifestyle will have longer to tune, and longer to plan their time off for the race. It also gives time to re-schedule a race if some people cant make it. Im no expert but Ive done other tuning comps before and after 1-2 hours a day for 5-6 days you can still not be happy with what you've got. I could go on because im in the mood for writing but I wont! I should have just wrote I'm in favor of the current format!:)

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, really appreciate it.

To the main points you mentioned:

schedule:
I've thought alot about the schedule and finally I had more pros then cons. A weekly schedule would force the participants to spend alot of time tuning only this one special car and we won't have much time doing other stuff... thats the main reason for me.
Furthermore that way the races keep being something special and so does this series remain like a long term competition.

unsporting behaviour / penalty system
- The penalty setting will be set on low.
- Slight bumping from behind will be tolerated but kicking somebody off the track will be punished with an additional 25 point penalty.
- Each driver has the opportunity to open a race protest if he has been kicked out by an other driver. In this case the casualty has to remember the lap and after reviewing the replay 25 penalty points will be given accordingly!

In addition to you being not sure to compete or not, I will add a waiting list.
Personally I would like to have the races as full as possible and I would regret changing driver in the middle of the season due to whatever reasons.
So please think first if you will have time on the racedays and then there will be no problem of you being part of this special race series :)

Hi, I personally like the format 2 weeks is a good idea so that people have chance to do others things.
Please can you put me down. :-) Psn: Bigadz83

I would suggest that you send a message to people near to race day as a reminder of the event, you may have thought this already?

I would also say that in the event of accidental contact where someone gains unfairly the offender should give back the place immediately to prevent being penalised after the race.

Great work Tharain, and I like Lambolover's ideas alot. one Idea:

Would it be possible to have the car restrictions change after each race, e.g weight, power, drivetrain etc. Possibly decided by you, the winner or by voting between a set amount of options. Purpose being to keep things fresh and learn more about tuning different cars.

I'll ask some of the guys I race with if theyre interested, they're all clean fast gtpr's who use wheels.

I would also say that in the event of accidental contact where someone gains unfairly the offender should give back the place immediately to prevent being penalised after the race.

Great idea, will be added to the rules!
And ofc i will send a message as the race comes closer.

Furthermore I would change settings in season #2 but for one season goes one setup. Imagine how good our cars be after so much experience on different tracks and how good we all will handle the cars at the end :)
You will be able to change cars though, but you have to obey the rules!

I dont think we will get bored thats why the races are all 2 weeks not weekly :)

Yes. Well, for example a Skyline, a M3, or the Ferrari Italia. There are so many cars... :)

Also some feedback and Q's..

A raceprotest can be done. If you are right about your protest it gives the other part -25 points, right? But if the protest does'nt go trough, -25 point for the accusing part. Just to make shore that the protests are worth looking at. It could be a lot of protests to handle if this rule i sugested do not apply.
Then you do not have to look at all 50/50 situations (a.k.a race-incidents)

Tyres: I think that Sports Soft or maybe Race Hard is enough.. The Race Medium and Race Soft just is not for the type of cars we are racing. ( I want realism :))

Every 2 weeks is perfect. Gives you time to tune for the specific track.👍

About the circuits: Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Cape Ring? It would be cool to stay to real world tracks. So insted of the obove 3, Indy-roadcourse, Coute'azur, Monza?

Aids: Raceline: Not optional, All aids OFF, ABS: 1:tup:

Cars: I think that the car of my choice goes for the whole season. It's great to "recognixe" eachother on the track :), and it also gets you a better feel of a true championship.

1000 kg? Is not that a to small weight?

Price: I think it's quite low. How about 1: 500.000, 2: 250.000, 3: 100.000?

Penalty: If we have a system where points is used as a penalty, we do'nt need the in-game penalty. Because one who is not the "bad part" in an incident can still get penalty with the in-game penalty set to "ON". So it's better to stay with the point-penalty and keeping to that method only.

And some Q's :)
How much is 500 kw?
Do we race "standard" cars, but with every single upgrade possible.-> No racecars, prototypes, other cars with downforce (as long as not a production car)?

Also, what weekday do you intend to host the races? And what time? And the time in relation to GMT? My sugestion is Friday evenings CET. It keeps me from drinking beer :)

I hava a lot of qestions, and standpoints :) Hope you don't mind

👍👍👍

Raceday is Sunday 15:00 gmt.
500kw = 670hp

Will add the point regarding a 25 point penalty to the accusing racer if the protest doesnt go through! Altough I hope there will be no protests because we are all gentlemen :)

And ABS will be allowed (can I control it???) but I'll stick to the remaining rules for now you mentioned:)

And if you want a higher price maybe you can sponsor one :D

Tharain, do you think it would be better to have a power limit of about 450kw (603hp). I think this opens up a few more possibilities of car choice and puts might put more focus on tuning?

Or....

Have 2 catagories which race together:

GT450 Class: 603hp(450kw) - 1100kg min. Power to weight : 548hp/tonne
GT380: 510hp(380kw) - 930kg min. Power to weight : 548hp/tonne

Although I understand if you would rather keep it simple?

The only other thing would be a limit on the tyres. Sports tyres would be make it more about driver skill. Racing tyres have a bit too much traction.

Just ideas anyway, will be good in any case and thanks for organising it 👍

Offcourse there will be no protests! :) But it's actually a really good rule.👍

Circuits? Tyres? Same car all season?

The last driver in the Championship needs to giva a car of the winnrs choice of a price up to Cr.500.000, the second to last driver gives a car for up to Cr.250.000 to the runner up and the third to last gives a car for up to Cr.100.000 to the third place..

In that way, drivers that might do not have a shot at the top positions in the end of the Championship still has something to play for.. It's nice to have as many as possibla have SOMETHING to race for.. Keeps the nerve thru the entire season regardless how high/low one are placed in the rankings.

All explained in the first post :)

I'll think about changing tyre restrictions but to be honest I wanted to create a series with the only restrictions on hp and weight with the opputunity to choose all type of tyres.

Actual testing strenghtened my opinion because without any aids and this much power of the cars it is even really challenging with racing soft to prevent the car from over/understeer and I feel it is not that kind of easy to keep it on the road if you want to go really fast.

Yes, ofc you push the var to it's limit no matter the tyre.. That's for shore :)

Ok, so I can change car between races?

How about the pricecar rules I sugested?

With my actual bankroll I can't afford more... need also money for supporting my tuning garage :D
Maybe I'll increase the prices during the season.

(yes you can change cars between races)

No, the part where I said that the driver who end in last place when the Championship ends, will pay for the winners car, the second to last pay for 2:nd place's car, and the third to last pay for 3:d place's car.. Keeps the Championship interesting even if a driver cant reach the top in the last races.. That he will have something to fight for..

So you do not need to pay anything! :-D

Ah now i get it :D
Like that idea :)

What do the others think? I think that would make the series much more interesting altough I'm a bit afraid of people leaving the series without paying their depts :D
